An Explosion, A Banana + A Wildcat π±
Added 2024-04-05 07:24:09 +0000 UTCHOLA A TODOS βοΈ We hope you are all well and had a lovely Easter! π£ We got a lovely day of rain last weekend, but now back to bright sunshine and 28Β°C days. Now spring has truly begun, I am being kept very busy with seedlings and ferociously sprouting weeds in the garden! We are currently working, FINALLY, on putting a fence around the orchard area. All the posts have been concreted in, and I even tried my hand at welding the hinges on to the gate the other day - not as bad as I thought it would be, but I think Iβll leave that job to Robbie. Discussions are in progress in regards to the next project. Finish the compost toilet? Continue planting and irrigating our olive grove? Get to work on the broken shed wall and roof!? Lots to do! Letβs see where the month takes us. We wish you all a beautiful weekend π»π§‘ P.S. Any tips on stopping mosquitos from breeding in our pond would be greatly appreciated! π¦ π€¦π»ββοΈ

We're teaching Sage to fish the mosquito larva out with his net (it's actually surprisingly effective), seems to be a good new strategy whilst we wait for some more suitable fish!

2024-05-14 10:14:34 +0000 UTCWell.... I am old, but not that old.....ha ha ha. Oh, yes they do not grow more than a few cm long. They couldn't eat the tadpoles. Give Sage a large flat metal net with a stick and he will get plenty, that is what I used a bit older than him.

All we think about all day is how we can store more water! Any tips for protecting yourself at night from skeeters? Emilia currently makes us rub eucalyptus oil all over ourselves every night, because it's the ecological alternative the the chemicals, but that's not the most fun thing!
