High contrasts make photos very interesting, but you still have to be careful not to blow out the highlights.
The darker skin of Sugar is less prone to do that, but a white lady could be more susceptible to getting out of control.
Contrasts in light may help isolating the subject of the photo even more than the out of focus background, but in this case we get both effects at the same time.
What photographer could hope for such a huge studio?
I was very lucky on that day to get so many chances to make Sugar glow.
