Update 9th July

Didn't see this thread before, it's very cool how you wrote in a way that made us and our MCs as full of ourselves as we would be in that setting with that much potential while having things sprinkled in that remind us this isn't a complete power fantasy, can't think of anything like it to date.

Infusion is still in the game - just moved it to the stat page, so it can be used whenever. About Xiwen - everything is as intended. Perhaps it wasn't clear, but the current MC holds no clear advantages against other MAs. MC has high Blood Purity, which makes their Arts stronger / eases advancement and may have special talent (like regen), but all of that is nothing in comparison to what is truly out there. It's utterly impossible for the current MC to hurt Xiwen in any shape or form - it would be impossible to hurt an average P-H, not to mention a personal disciple of the leader of one of the three heavenly sects. In fact, current MC will lose terribly even to an average L-H, not to mention someone's stronger. The only way would be Mei's bomb, but do you really want to blow yourself up for a chance to injure Xiwen? It wouldn't kill him anyway - all of the 'top' disciples have multiple life-saving methods and trump cards about which the MC has no idea about. About 'random' disciple - she's far from random. This Zone is an extremely important competition, in which only the best of the best for this age group are allowed to participate. She's older than MC by two years and has her own talents. And although she's strong, she's still far from what a truly 'peak' M-H would look like - you'll meet one during the expo. I understand the want for power-fantasy, and it will happen at a certain point, but rn there's nothing that makes MC truly stand out apart from 100% purity - which measures potential more than anything else (at least, as you know). Also don't forget, characters that you meet now are literal creme of the crop, the absolute elites of the Martial World. Even someone like Ai is considered a superb genius outside of Heavenly Sects, people like Ruo or Long Chen are monsters in comparison.

Ok so i played the new update and it seems to be working just fine however I do feel the MC was unnecessarily slighted in the new content particularly with the whole Lee Xiwen thing but also before that. So for one Inner Energy Infusion is gone which makes some of the stat checks in the game down right impossible to achieve particularly with the Yun Ge fight (especially on mortal difficulty) I feel like that’s a balance issue for sure. Secondly, a middle houtian nobody from the law sect possessing a skill that can crack our celestial shell ( a technique from the Wu Celestial herself) something that withstood the assault from a transcendent skill heavenly asura technique developed by a Shangtian doesn’t really make sense. Fu Bings Sister just felt way too powerful imo if she was a late houtian or a core disciple like Xiwen that would make sense. Finally there’s Lei Xiwen I understand he’s more powerful than us I’m not saying we should be able to beat him in a fair fight. However given the experiences and resource we’ve gained up until this point we should definitely be able to offer up more resistance than we did. I feel like we should have at least been able to convince him to share leadership equally of the panda tribe. For one I had 99,999 Failures at my disposal and my MC was already not planning on using it on Long Chen. Actually using it on Xiwen May have been a bit much but we could’ve at least threatened him with it to force him to compromise. Also I had the dragon tattoo which I felt I should’ve been given the option to destroy and use the power burst to hit Lei Xiwen with, especially since he gave me the option of a free hit on him without defending. And finally I also have a regenerative physique with max constitution and vitality and perfect comprehension of heavenly celestial palm. I felt under those circumstances when Lei Xiwen told us to hit him with everything we had forcibly activating the higher levels of that technique and managing the recoil damage with our healing factor wouldve been the obvious choice. I get that that isn’t something that is easy to pull off but Like are we a genius or are we not? Again I’m not saying that we should’ve necessarily been able to defeat him, however forcing him to compromise seems well within our capabilities given certain factors. Please keep in mind that unlike some of the other readers this is actually the first time I felt like the MC was “weak
