Loki 1x04 Uncut Reaction!

Comments

"That episode had me on the edge of my... ballsack". You and me both Hector.

Thurrak

Adam hearing the timekeepers: THATS not Jonathan Majors

Martin

I realized when you guys called something a "fugazi" that I didn't actually know what the word meant. I just knew the band. I was like, "What does Ian MacKaye have to do with Loki?".

Jason Bombach

Adam has the best shocked face. When Mobiius got pruned he held that for like 5 seconds or so. I have no idea what is happening after this episode.

Jim W

With the TVA agents being normal humans now, how are they able to physically overpower an Asgardian?

Mark Schamber

This episode was just brilliant. Looking at the actual terminology, the word “prune” doesn’t mean “delete” but rather “cut away”. Most assumed this meant deletion given this all-powerful agency has ultimate power - Loki even asks this question in the first episode. Plus the previous movies have already proven (to a degree) the Law of Conservation of Mass Energy is still observed in the MCU as explained with the Infinity Stones (they’re still in the universe so time can flow properly, they just changed their state of matter.) As far as I can tell, there is nothing to disprove the idea of the TVA’s sole purpose is pruning Loki’s from the Sacred Timeline. Nearly every single person we’ve seen as prisoners could have been a Loki variant, just not fully decked out in costume. And since those reset charges seem to operate the same as those pruning batons, I bet everything from each of those variant timelines is now in this “pocket dimension/timeline” which is why it looks so decrepit and destroyed (well, that and all of the other Loki’s there possibly battling for control). Now all I need from this show is Mobius having a Gandalf/Two Towers moment arriving just in time on a jet ski.

John M

Could this be introducing the idea of Hel in the MCU? Maybe since Asgardians don't 'die' but go to Hel, perhaps Loki can't be pruned and removed completely so the Loki's end up in a glitched space?

Lewis Dillingham

The moment Revona says "I don't remember" reminded me of the only good moment from the Street Fighter movie: "For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life. But for me... it was Tuesday."

Myles Away

I wonder if pruned variants are transported back to the specific reality they belong to. The post credit scene showed Loki being transported to a dystopian NY. Ny was Loki’s last whereabouts before he escaped with the tesseract. So I think he’s returned to the timeline he left in the first place. And I think when he left, his absence created an alternate timeline, in which maybe thanos won? Idk….this ep was nuts!

Taino Games

I thought you all were going to insane when Loki was deleted. Worth the cost of admission!

Peter Evans

This reaction episode was worth the entire price of admission, that episode was NUTS

Jesse Romeo

I don’t know how I’m going to survive until next week

Julian Ortega

Crazy episode

"WOW!" indeed. I watch the episode by itself each week, then watch your reaction videos, and watching your Ep4 reactions was so damned entertaining! The number of shocked faces broke the record this week. I'm so glad I joined the Patreon. And what is up with injecting the Richard E. Grant magic into franchises? First he drops into Ep IX of STAR WARS, making me wish he'd been cast in the sequel trilogy all long, and now he's another Loki! I cannot wait to see Ep 5 next week -- and I literally can't imagine or predict what will happen next. As for getting pruned, the TemPad listed C-20 as deceased and I assumed from Ep1 that -- at least with most beings -- getting Pruned means you die... or at least that variant of you dies in "this" timeline. You are literally pruned from it. Yet not so with Loki. Yes, that's puzzling. He's wearing the same clothing as when he got pruned in the TVA. His reaction implies his reappearance may be instantaneous. Yet he 'lands' in the/a destroyed New York timeline as if the Avengers failed to repel the Chitauri attack. Did Loki prevail in that timeline? Given all that the series has told us thus far, is "pruning" Loki a different action that pruning C-20 or Moebius or anyone else not a demigod? Or does Loki's rematerialization have more to do with who is REALLY pulling the TVA strings? Was Loki simply 'edited' into another timeline, another variant timeline based on New York's destruction? Who the eff knows at this point? But that's the fun part. I've since heard/read that the 3rd Loki with the variant hammer may be the Boastful Loki (probably no revelation to you Heroes by now, but it's new to me). I think your discussion about the possibility of a team of Loki variants assembling to fight... whomever may be right. Great reaction show, great expressions. Thanks for bringing the excellence each week, Hector, Adam and Agustin. Te saludo!

With all the TVA employees being brain-wiped variants, it leaves us to wonder who's really in-the-know other than Ravonna — and if she truly is. It seems the employees accept the idea that pruning kills the target, and then we were shown that it doesn't. Does Ravonna know that? They established in Sylvie's flashback that Ravonna started as another presumably brain-wiped varient employee, AND in Ravonna's personal device Hunter C-20 is listed as deceased. Maybe she's under the impression that the Pruned are dead. The Pruned... The Vanished. Ooh. When Thanos snapped, maybe half the population dusted into an alternate universe limbo. None of them remember that time except a line from Wanda implying that she had some form of consciousness, so it's not exactly the same as being Pruned. Do you think we'll get Kang at the end of this series, maybe in a Thanos-like end credits scene? Kang. Wanda. Strange. Ravonna. Multiverse. Love and Thunder. Quantumania. Good lord, this is an amazing time for the MCU. AND Black Widow is out next week. I already have my tickets to see it in a real theater. "Exciting is hardly the word I would chose." – C-3PO

Gator Loki! When do we get Frog Thor?

Sam Biearman

WTF is alligator Loki!?

Christopher S. Brown

Please can the final 2 episodes drop together... this waiting a week is killing me :-) Sooo many questions, need answers!!!

Mark Ashman

The prune sticks are IMHO punishment, so they get to be send to an awful place, prison or "out-of-time" place. Can't wrap my head around this ep, totally blew my mind.

Robert von Heeren

I feel like the "pruning stick" act like the reset charges, it's doesn't destroy things when they put it in place but just restore them? That does not explain anything new but that's the conclusion I get from that episode. Can't believe there is only 2 ep left...

Tamira

To all those who felt Ep3 was a little slow, this episode's pacing made up for it. They packed a whole movie into 40 minutes. Dudes, this episode...

KPDubbs71

once I watched it when it came out, I couldn't wait to see your guys reaction. Watching it again with you guys did no disappoint!!!! This show is absolute bonkers lol so much fun

Sergio Pizano

what if mobius riding a jet ski was his nexus event that caused the tva to take him. could explain why it is so prominent in his mind

eric lemieux

I just finished my first watch right in time to watch this. Perfect.
