990 buckshot patterning
Added 2025-05-13 17:43:40 +0000 UTCTraditional buckshot patterns are slightly larger than the shockwave at all distances. Flitecontrol patterns are the same.
3/5 flitecontrol had shot still in the wad at 10yd. 2/5 had BARELY separated.
New white hull fiocchi defense dynamics patterned tighter than the old blue hull. 5” vs 6” at 10yd.
Blue hull remains the most mild recoil, but only slightly gentler than the new white hull.
All cycled perfectly.
Next up: slug testing. I’ll be using cheap Turkish 1oz foster slugs for testing. I’ll look at some 25-50yd groups but primary concern is cycling and handling characteristics.
