Opinion on AI (again feel free to skip if not interested)

So I was talking with my brother who uses Twitter a lot and he came about an interesting user who pretty much pumps out images generated by AI, of course you may not know but all this does is take an existing piece of work and basically scramble it with command prompts. Sure to the standard eye it looks pretty good, but as an artist you can tell either by style or by some very disturbing things like messed up parts of the extremities and the background. Honestly I would turn around and be like, oh well, but dayum was I right with some things. Some use this “tool” to make a quick buck but dayum is it like a lot no kidding! Just considering if you are pledging to the lowest tier just the amount of people total up to 600usd a month! Without doing anything! And if we consider that at least there are 2 subscribed to the 60usd you end up with a total of 714usd, holy moly! These kind of practices really make me want to either cheat myself or right out throw everything out the window. Hahaha. Jesus anyways, you can check it out here, I swear I don’t mean it as a “attack people” No please don’t I just want to put this out there to let you all know it is true and that sometimes “human made” does not equal more valuable.

Have a good one everyone I’ll make sure to upload the next picture as soon as possible!

Love you all!

It’s complicated cause some AI software use actual internet sites as their library like I remember one used Danbooru or something like it, imagine the millions of artists that had their work uploaded there it’d be impossible. To compensate every single one monetarily plus consider those who have already died. Pretty grim and dark stuff honestly my friend.

It's interesting. I'm not sure where this will all wind up. I think that, at minimum, they'll need to work out some arrangement where the artists whose work is "sampled" get compensation or some sort of licensing arrangement. At least, I HOPE so.

I’ve been looking at some FB pages that share AI art and thing is, I have told them they shouldn’t promote it, and their response is, it doesn’t matter as long as we have content we want, many are well aware of how things are produced I’d go with, they are horny so they just buy anything as long as it looks good. Sad times unfortunately. And the worst part is the pro AI market all this a progress, what do you know.

It's easy to get discouraged with AI. The sad truth is most people don't really care about quality, and AI makes quantity more easily achievable. Part of getting a lot of patrons is marketing, selling yourself, and with the ability to pump out images way faster than any artist ever could, it's easy to stand out in the already very sparse market. I do find it strange how people are seemingly willing to pay for AI art, either out of ignorance or just horniness or something else. I'm not sure how to compete, I can only hope that AI art becomes so saturated or widespread that it's no longer worth paying for, but that's a pretty grim outlook
