UPDATE 2.1.1

 Hey, guys!

We checked and prepared the update for download. All changes work on their own and I hope no critical errors should occur.

For those of you who are new to us, I want to remind you that this is part of the update and we had to spend some time to make the elements work regardless of the main part.

Several new elements have appeared in the colony - mood, loyalty and crime.
At the moment, global statistics are not available, so there is no global helper for all interface elements.

We've posted instructions on how to handle crime at the police station.
We've also added new sectors to the farm. 

The inventory and krafting system.

That's how the colony works at the moment:
If there are many people in your colony who are not busy at work, they start creating criminal events. It affects the mood of the citizens and their loyalty to the administration. It will affect the ability of the colonists to work and increase crime in the colony.

To avoid this, you need to monitor the mood of the colonists. You cannot overpopulate the colony for that. And sometimes you have to have parties and festivals.

Festivals can be planned in the administration building.
You can take part in some festivals. The larger the festival, the more influence it has on the colony.

So far, there are two basic festivals. All festivals can be held simultaneously.

Take note! Cops don't solve the crime problem completely. And besides, they require financial maintenance depending on rank.

Buy colonists at market with lvl 7 intelligence or greater. Since players are breeding high lvl intelligence, you can get a good deal. Put them in police and then train them. I've seen them at only 300 credits.

Hello. When I go into the farm hostel to train farmers. The training options does not load up all the way. I leave the hostel but my screen stays black. I can exit the game and start again and its fine again. Just training in farming seems to not load properly.

So many bugs in this new version. Police training is still broken. Crime is rising more and more even though I have all the officers possible in the game. These will have to be addressed very quickly for me to continue to play and support the game.

Fixed an error in police training. The reason for the error was due to the fact that the skills were not taken into account if you leave the game.

As I wrote earlier, the police do not solve all problems, only a little help. If you have a broken balance between factions, for example, many unemployed or vice versa, festivals do not help. Just tried to train police. It is still not working. I upgrades to 2.1.1.4 prior to thraining.

I just trained 6 colonists to level 7. They had 7 intelligence. They are level 7 and still have 7 intelligence. Colonists that start with level 7 intelligence are rare. What can be done?

I think it's a good solution to sell these colonists. That way you can even save money.

The money refund for the failed police training doesn't fix the fact that six of my colonists are level 7 and didn't get an intelligence boost. These colonists are now useless as they will cost too much to get get their intelligence to useful levels because of the increasing cost for training as levels increase. I doubt we can get the levels back but can you double the effect of training for a few days?

i trained cops to level 11 but their intelligence didn't raise.

As a bit of encouragement, I found after some initial problems that with Police all six at 6 intelligence my crime rate got under control and by running festivals got my rates up enough to stabilize.

This is most likely a file error when updating. It's not supposed to be like this. If there are no blinking dots in the middle of the screen, then this is definitely an error. Remove the game folder and reinstall it. This solves the problem 100%.

I get a black screen everytime I try to enter the spaceport

The human mine workers now are displayed with the blue collar pieces of the police uniform, even if you strip them naked. Seems like things went awry and the wrong layer is being displayed there.

I already said... The best is the enemy of the good. The idea is interesting, but the balance is completely absent. Current updates require a constant presence in the game. From light entertainment, the game turns into torture. I'd do a server rollback... PS. For some reason, mineral production fell sharply from 9,140 to 2,742...

My colony is dying as well :( Exactly 5 unemployed people (as in they're in hostel for breeding), 6 police officers (they could literally pair up with an unemployed and then some), negative mood, low loyalty, high crime .. Festivals don't even get me to positive mood anymore :(

Thanks for coordinating on everyone's behalf. couple of comments to add 1/ for anyone stuck at the "continue..." intro to the Police. Press the "Tab" button (or Ctrl +Tab) you will get a Yellow square around one of the functions/buttons on the screen, then just continue to press Tab till the yellow box is around "Continue..." and press "enter" key. 2/ Bug - when I try to check the Banking screen it does not fully fill and basically the games stops functioning. can't go forwards or back so have to close and reopen the game. 3/ More a question than anything else, I am a freeloader (sorry unemployed so can't support) - I have a Spaceport screen but there is nothing there. I have always presumed that area is for paying players only or am I missing something? Cheers

Im sure there are already others complaining about this but the loyalty drop is pretty harsh. Ive reduced my population to 164, I have both festivals runing, 6 police officers and yet my mood is st -10% for some reason, loyalty is droping like a rock and crime is skyrocketing. What is going on?

For a game that's supposed to be about breeding. This new loyalty mechanic really doesn't want any breeding.

Ugg the mood and loyalty drop stupid fast, crime is increasing and cops are untrainable...<br>I reduced my colonist count from near 500 to less than 350 (still high compared to what the creators reccommend) and even with parties and such, my colony mood and loyalty are steadily heading for the sewer :(

I had the same problem, and at the suggestion of another Patron used the Tab key to cycle through the highlight-able commands. When the yellow box is around "Continue...", hit the enter key on your keyboard. These are the same workarounds for people playing Adobe Flash and Air games with no mouse, by the way.

it wont let me continue from the comic strip, it just stops. the background and clock are moving just no way to continue.

So more bugs have appeared for everyone. Choosing New Game gives a black screen, people can't click continue to actually continue the game or a cut scene. kids don't grow into adulthood like they should. The bank UI crashes. Some people, me included didn't get a so called "cut scene for the police station". There's a lot of bugs in this update that was never there before to the already existing features. Explaining anything in this game has never been the best thing in the game as it usually is put on the people playing the game to figure it out and spread the word. like the engineering building needing a redo on the display map for buying areas. and a better explanation of what to do when buying farm beds. This update seems to lack enough and bug out enough that we can barely play it compared to before. I hope that an update is on it's way to fix these things and everything else i've mentioned before this. I get that there's a lot of new features and that could go against some old features so carefulness is important, bug hunting is a part of it and we're all here to help. So let's just give the benefit of the doubt that not everything is 100% perfect from the start and that things will be fixed, updated and more in the upcoming hot fixes.

BUG: I don't recall seeing someone mention this but in listing colonists in the market (first time since update) I found a strange bug where it appears the last few do not show on the screen , as if a page were missing from display.

I'm the only one whose citizens have stopped growing up? Or is it a widespread problem? This is very inconvenient because I can't sell the children or transfer them to any faction. They just sit on the allocation centre, eat my food, and significantly increase the crime rate.

when I click to navigate to the bank it doesn't load any information and clicking the return to town button doesn't do anything; the game is frozen there, so I have to click menu and exit the game and reload. Is this something y'all are working on? thanks

I did the delete and re-download (to get past the continue issue) and I am having the same issue with the black screen.

So, if i try to start the game by clicking on "NEW GAME" the screen turn black and the game doesn't start. I play on MAC.

So I updated today and continued my game. I got the opening intro comic to the security force, and when the Ranger is telling me to build a police station and the comic frame says "CONTINUE...", clicking does not advance, the game just freezes there. Mouse and keyboard commands do nothing. I've restarted it a few times, same thing. I guess I have to re-install?

The mood decrease very fast... 0 this morning and -24 % 10 hours later ! Did 2 little festivals but the gain disapear very fast/ Crime still increasing even with 6 policemen in the police station (!) and colony loyalty still decreasing. I have only 120 colonist and all of them are working or breeding so I don't know what I can do to make things better. Hope the game won't turn into a "connect and play each 2 or 4 hours to progress" game because if it's so, I'll quit.

So how do i get the resources to produce beer and wine? I've unlocked the two available garden beds but i can't put workers on them nor do i get resources when the timer hits zero to give me food.

I noticed that even though the mine says I am making 10k less than I should, I actually am making all 13k. I also got around a mil back and the minerals too. I only noticed after reading your comment. I am also getting like 200 units from one farm plot and 190ish from the other even though it says Im only getting 20 and 19. If I had to I guess I think it is just missing off the last digit.

Apparently i was given back my minerals, i got 1 million back from last opening the game. i remember i spent them on upgrading the plots, i take it the devs gave out an apology? or just a bug not registering i bought the upgrades, either way i'm happy. So looking at the material production for the berries and grain. Although i gained 88 and 87 from each. i apparently only got it once because the timer for food production stopped as it doesn't count down from 2 hours. Is this a bug? a feature that wasn't explained, not even in FAQ? it seems like the game wants us to change what is produced and want us to spend money upgrading it constantly. that's not much profit of anything if you ask me from what i'm seeing.

If a Discord server is established again and open for both public and patrons, like I said I would love to help manage it since apparently i don't have enough to manage lol. but it would bring the community closer for one, communication would be more frequent and bugs can be posted on the fly and talked about quickly. Overall a Discord would make communication between both the devs and the players a lot more fluent and frequent enough. some of us, like me are on almost all the time to help out.

A-and I was about to make the same comments LOL. I guess its a matter of hurry up and wait until after the uptates. Also, thanks for the tip regarding farm materials, though I would have preferred it if there was a plot for each respective material, but thats life, I can wait and see what happens.

At the police station, the stats information is still shifted two levels down so we still can't see the proper stat level. Food production time for all the materials for beer and wine is 2 hours each, not the regular 4 hours for the food they eat. For some reason when clicking on inventory, then crafting for the first time, the information on the product shows 2 Grain Symbols, 1 Corn and 1 Hop, despite not clicking on Beer yet which fixes it until going in and out of "Crafting" again. By the looks of it, when leveling up the gardens, it's HIGHLY IMPORTANT to remember that you can only level it up for 1 product at a time, as if you change it it will reset to 1, although it's worth it, i would HIGHLY SUGGEST grinding up a good amount of that product before you switch again since you will be losing more money if you switch frequently. Even going from level 1-9 is expensive mineral and money vise actually. It will give you a prompt asking you if you are sure you want to change products because it will reset to level 1. i believe that's by design so that grinding is more recommended so no frequent changes are made for easy high moral. Depending on the level of your farmer chosen for each farm (Only 1) the amount you produce can double from the normal 3 to 6 even at level 1. Seems training the police officers are also a waste of time and money as of now since they don't increase intelligence or any stats except their level. i hope that if it's fixed that we get the stats we missed back as missing out on 9 intelligence for each of them would definitely suck. Apparently the "your colonist has been train" pop up screen appeared for one of the colonists when i wasn't even looking at him, i was looking at someone else instead and it appeared like that. Sometimes one of the civilian colonists glitch out and appears in front of another colonist, overlay bug by the looks of it. it's right outside of Allocation or appears sometimes when coming out from the Farm and/or Mine.

Crap I leveled the crop beds from 9 to 10 and the production went from like 200 units at level 9 to 20 units at level 10. WTF! The bed is not reset it actually still says level 10.

Possibly you did not assign a specific farmer inside the farm beds windows outside of the main farm. That was my initial mistake. You need one farmer for each (from some free in farm residence, different than the farmers working in the main farm). Could be more obvious... The other thing to watch out for is the leveling of the garden/farm bed. I leveled up naively not understanding at first that if you switch the sub-product you lose your level up. And you can only produce one input at a time (so for Beer, there are three needed; for Wine, two).

I think a new Bug / Observation: there doesn't seem to be a way in Police station to edit Colonist name. for me since I have a naming system where I keep track of the colonists base skills (name.xx.yy.zz. [etc]) wee bit annoying

Got an annoying bug, losing concection when trying to sell excess colonists to Monk

I built the farming beds for the new crops and waited for the 4 hour cycle to complete. However I cant find where to see how much Ive made. I dont think I have made any becuase I dont see any in the materials section of the crafting screen. And there is none available for me to sell on the marketplace. ALthough somone has figured it out as I can see materials for crafting being sold on the market. Am I missing something else than needs to happen or do I need to wait more then the 4 hour cycle?

haven't you always lost food per cycle? i seem to remember you saying so, unless it got worse after this update, in any case there's also a problem with dismissing colonists since it crashes the game so you're stuck for the time being.

Or is me losing nearly 1000 food per cycle the grace period. And its going to get way worse later after the grace period?

The missing skill points from levelling my officers.. Are they going to be given to my colonists when the bug is fixed? Or have I screwed the 3 colonists I have that started with 10 Intelligence. The 3 colonists I bought from the market 3 and a half R/L years ago and kept around in my colony for the day when Intelligence was actually used for something. And why is Intelligence used for police skills. Have you met R/L police officers. Intelligence in not something that is associated with them at all.

Apparently my colony is made up of nothing but wall street bankers. My crime level is at 50% So I guess 1/2 my colonists are criminals. I wonder if the children being grown in the rapid aging vats are criminals as well. Hmm guilty of thought crime maybe?

The symbols in Allocation has changed but not anywhere else. My food "surplus" changed big time (app -500), what changed? When you train Police the Int doesn’t change, just the level.

How do you build the police station? Maybe the entire update failed to download. I'm not sure. I am unable to hire police. Please help.

If i remember right, it was written in a previous post that if they are in the allocation center, they are unemployed, if they are in hostels they may or may not be unemployed as well and might need to be put to actual work in mining and/or farms, not sure about the breeding camp but it's a necessary sacrifice for the greater good.

How exactly is unemployment determined? Is it just assignment to faction or allocation meaning unemployment can be solved by dumping colonists into hostels. Or is it actively busy mining/pregnant. In that case, does training count? are breeding males always unemployed because they never get pregnant?

As stated by Talos and others there's a connection error when you try to dismiss anyone you don't want. Training Officers don't increase any stats only levels, bit of a disappointment. not sure what happened to Jim Witherspoon since i had no problem with that. the text on their stats do indeed glitch out for the police officers and the top two don't show any description. It's worth noting that colors and placement of stats in different zones don't match at all. I tried holding the plus sign when wanting to sell food or minerals and it doesn't go all the way to max. This is one thing that bugs me since i'm sure a lot of others as well don't want to sit there and click for minutes just to sell several hundred thousand food or minerals. sometimes millions for me. I'd suggest adding a "Sell Max" option or better yet add a 4th option being "Add 100k" to how much you want to sell or even buy. I'm not sure if the farm was UI or HUD was changed but it's quite detailed, i like that, can't buy more than 2 Sectors though might just be locked for the time being. The game wasn't very descriptive as to what to do when you even bought them, had to check around and saw that you had to go outside to the 2 plots and choose something to produce. I highly suggest making the engineering maps of the zones more clearer for what you can build and where they are on the map. because they are all the same color and blend in with the map it's hard to tell what is just detail and what is actually buildings to build. hovering over every thing isn't the best option, especially for new players that have no idea what they're doing. Spaceport i see is unlocked by the police station but of course is not in the game yet, that's fine. Keep working on that. Apparently when clicking on the spaceport it instantly goes out of full screen and crashes your game, no warning either. only happens sometimes. Clicking around the City is fine and all to make the character move, but maybe add some more fluent or smoother movement since it's a bit jagged, not really important, just a nice touch. It has been said before but selling and buying colonists should be updated to look the same as in the Monk when selling Hybrids There's a lot spelling error in a lot of the FAQs from time to time, might be because it goes from full screen to windowed full screen. a quick restart fixed it but it's worth checking out for all window sizes. First time going into the bank after update crashed the UI, quick restart fixed that. I'd suggest being more detailed about what intelligence is needed to get to specific ranks, i'm guessing since there's 10 ranks of security that each 10th intelligence increases rank and salary. There's a weird bug in the FAQ in the police where the "For Banker" and "For Customer" tabs blink in and out and can't be interacted with. A quick restart fixed that. It has also been mentioned several times before but still worth noting that training as of now is very time consuming and very costly as well. I'm sure you have all been planning this, who wouldn't. perhaps make some form of auto training for a certain amount of levels or how much money you put into them, either that or reward more EXP options, doesn't matter how costly each level is. I'm sure everyone would rather spend half a million on one training to level up 20 times than 100k on 50 training sessions to level up the same amount. because time is the most valuable thing us Gamers have. I think that should cover most errors i just found in a short amount of time, I'm sure if I dug deeper and tested several things I'd find more. Nice to see things have been worked on, that's a plus, hopefully next update will add more features and less random one-off bugs. For the time being I guess I'll have to train my officers, not sure what else to spend my 13 million credits on. while i have the money, I don't have much time daily to do it manually. Training a police increases their level but not their intellect.

The mouseover text of the abilities on the police screen seem to be shifted down two steps - there is no text for the first two bars of abilities, and the blue bar that is intellect reads as strength (same with the other bars - they just have the text of what's two bars above).

I tried the new 2.1.1 version, cannot get passes the last sub page where they tell me to start hiring cops - shut down twice, still hangs up, is anyone else having any trouble ?

The very second I try to confirm dismissing any colonist by clicking the Yes button, I lose connection to the game. Tried it 8 times in a row and could consistently crash the game by trying to dismiss people.

Thank you. I'd love to hear your ideas. We have planned a lot, but we have to do it in separate parts and it takes a lot of time.

That was sooner than I thought, nice work. Only took half a year or so. I will check out the update as soon as possible and see what has been changed and what could be improved or added for future reference unless you've already planned for that then at least it's out there.
