I just wanted to comment and say that this one literally brought tears to my eyes and opened up a new door for levi in my eyes. Its probably because of how horrifically and almost lifelike the way they drew the corpses but man.. that shit... made me so ill even though, like you said, I knew it was coming, but, uhh... I was absolutely NEVER prepared for the overturned tractor trailer full of Survey Corps' Survey Corpses' Corpse Parts littering this HELLSCAPE lol jesus christ Thanks Alex! Also I have no idea if this is relevant or what (I am watching "along with" his episodes so i've seen only as far as he has) but is it just me or was every character in this OVA like... an analog of the main cast? lol it... i didn't even really notice it the first time i watched this. I thought Isabel looked a little like Eren in the eyes er whatever sure but this time, ALL I could see was store brand characters hahah

It didn't even hit me that hard at first, but thinking about it and going back to watch it later I realized that it's there, it's just subtle. This scene with Levi is especially disturbing, not only because of the extremely graphic images, but also because it's somewhat unlike him to be that expressive.

For example, I've known Ymir's name since season 1, but it seems her name wasn't actually revealed until later. But there is no way if I had seen the whole show so far that I would be able to keep track of that :D

I honestly don't understand how some people can call Levi "emotionless", I'm like "Are we watching the same series?" The thing with Levi is the eyes, he might have a neutral face but through his eyes you can see the hurt inside in scenes like when he saw Petra and the rest of his squad dead.

2021-04-14 02:57:48 +0000 UTCEven though the commander isn't as great as Erwin, he at least as the humility and wherewithal to recognize Erwin's talents, gaining his insight and almost always differing to his opinions, which is actually a good trait in a leader. The commander is just too reliant on Erwin's abilities to the point that Erwin should basically be the commander

He was already showing signs of great leadership by coming up with the formation among other things. (I realized after reading another comment that this may have been a mild spoiler so I redacted myself.)

I also hadn't seen the anime adaptation of the No Regrets manga until this point, so I'm a little sad they cut/changed some of the scenes. Erwin and Hange's characterisation suffered from the shafted/changed scenes imo so if anyone else has only watched the anime I really recommend reading the manga too
