Lol yeah beautiful hair, both of them

Alex G

If Winry and Ed had kids they sure would have some nice long blonde hair lmao.

benj

I searched about it on google and pretty much in line with what you said.

Yusuf

man, that one shot of the light reflecting on Al's armor like tears, really well done. really hits you.

Aidan Pullen

I believe the implication is that the body they made is nobody. They just ended up making an empty body because they had all the ingredients found in a human body, but they had no soul to go into it. Their hodgepodge body came out wrong and Al's soul tried to attach to it after his body was taken. It couldn't take because of how messed up the body was, so the body died and Al's soul went back into the Portal.

R. Lewis

What could be equivalent to a human soul?

DogBless

Ed lost his leg to the Truth, and gave up his arm for Alphonse! Kinda significant down the road.

Jackie

Regarding the body, assuming the talk that Ed and Al had in the room is not exposition, I am assuming that the body they form was a deep desire of Al's physical body since Ed was able to pull the soul, im guessing the soul can manifest the shape it desires, hence the funny of Winry rejection because they were small and Ed said he had no recollection of the event but Al did so. So the shape was of a tall male body, and for the black hair im just assuming that since the body was just born it didnt have time to change color like a new born baby's hair can change from black to their parent's genes within 6 months and not instantly sometimes upon conceive.

Juan Valencia

Gotcha, I guess I was reading into it a bit thinking that the body meant something, as opposed to the significance being just that it wasn't their mother.

Alex G

I think what was meant to be implied is that that they did not re-create Trisha. They used ingredients in a pile to create a body and they did, however they did not create their mother like they meant to. Trisha is still buried at the grave, and the boys thought they re-created their mother but they messed up and she died. So the hair is black and not brown because the boys did not recreate her. They created a random body.

Thank you! And that's awesome!! Happy birthday to you too, then!

Alyssa

Happy birthday! Our birthdays are within a week of each other :)

Alex G

UGH I love this episode so much! And you aired it on mah birthday! So it was a super nice treat! It just has a little bit of everything--gives you some information, propels the plot forward, and has a ton of character-building moments. Perfection! :)

Alyssa Callahan

Clever. Everyone's so clever

Alex G

That is why the dog got up and suddenly left. He went to Ed who was eavesdropping. Hohenheim picked up on that! Makes sense!

Yusuf

So something that maybe isn't stated in the show that clearly, but the woman in that photo with the pipe is Pinako, aka Granny. Hohenheim is also in that photo, and he looks basically identical to the way he does now. Also something that maybe goes missed or unstated was that Hohenhiem's glance towards the door implies that he KNEW Ed was listening in on him and Pinako. So he helped Ed and inadvertently Al and Izumi too. The thing with what they transmuted I'm not too sure about either, but my interpretation of it was that it was just a hodgepodge of random parts that were put together to form a misshapen body. Great reaction as always, see you for the next one! :)

A Suresh

Not much to say from me this time just really enjoying these videos. Thank you

Nick

Something tells me that Pinako can see right through it lol

Alex G

Thanks! Yeah there's that shot where he glances sideways at the open door, knowing Ed can probably hear him. He's trying to lead Ed to some kind of realization but I don't have any solid ideas on what his goal is yet.

Alex G

I don’t know if you caught it but the episode was implying that Hoenheim asked Pinako about their mother when he knew Ed was listening in, I’m interested on your take on what you think hoenheim is up to by relaying that info and why he wanted to tell Ed like that! Love the reactions btw keep it up!

Baltazar Huerta

Probably my favorite part of this episode is when Ed is out in the rain. When a person with disabilities and metal in or on their body, it is very normal for it to cause you pain when the weather changes. I love that little detail and Ed using it to cover up how sick the idea of what he is doing is making him makes it an amazing character moment for both him and Ponako.
