Dragon of Mar Updates & Story 7 Remix

Hi Gilded Patrons!

Hope you are all well. Here is the second update for February on what's been happening on my end.

Story 8 Progress

GG & the Dragon of Mar is wrapping up Chapter 4a, which is the first 90 second chunk of the main battle song. We've also got a fair bit of Chapter 4b done, about 30% of the animation and 80% of layouts/storyboards. For an overall summary of the project's progress:

• Chapter 1 - DONE
• Chapter 2 - DONE
• Chapter 3 - DONE
• Chapter 4 - 30%
•        a: 90%, b: 40%, c: 0%
• Chapter 5
• Chapter 6
• Chapter 7

There's a lot of action going on in this section of the animation, and I'm eager to share whatever non-spoilery shots we can. We have KAPanims tackling a sizeable 30-second chase sequence that we hope will knock your socks off! 

I will say that progress this month has been slower than expected, but we still have another week to try to get a bunch done on Ch4 B. It is difficult to fight the urge to polish and make every scene look perfect. However, this is a special project that requires thoughtful budget-use.

Small Treat for Fans of Story 7

Gildedguy & the RHG was originally going to feature tracks from Terkoiz's legendary animations "Unbalanced" and "Shock 2", as a sort of tribute. During preproduction, the story changed and so did the final music, but the original inspiration/vibe was still there with "Rock Ain't Dead".

At times I'll have the original music appear in my playlist, and I imagine what it would have been like with the current Story 7. So I've played around with the animation and the track to get a good sync! I'm pleased with how similar each version feels to one another!

My sweet girlfriend (^Rebonkulous) encouraged me to finish this little remixing side project, and I'm glad to finally share with you all my initial vision.

Surveying Satisfaction

As we work through this marathon of a project, I've been getting ideas of releasing shorter form content to help me stay connected with Patrons and viewers. The multiple-month long waits are nothing new to the channel, though I am interested in offering more value to you all. The aforementioned "Story 7 Remix" is an example of that. I may consider bringing back speedpaint videos, more illustrations, posting more Story 8 scenes, original shorts, and of course, a Story 8 teaser.

Let me know below which of these interest you the most! Perhaps we're due for a survey/poll.
