Hello!

I'm back from the week of vacation I... forgot to say I was going on (had to work the night before we left ^^;).

I got a lot of work done while I was gone (don't worry, it was still a good break for me); but since I was around my family 80% of the time, most of it is SFW, so I'll focus more on adult things for the next few pieces.

It's good to have internet again TwT
and cable
and phone service XD;
(Vacation was in the country)

Anyway, yes; I'm back, and will post the things shortly!

It was really fun, this is technically my third time being in one (went once many years ago with my brother and his friend in his friend's RV). My mate and I did this last year too, though the RV was much smaller and we weren't towing my car that time. But that one was intended to be more of a "camping" experience. This one was honestly supposed to be a road trip to St. Petersburg, FL (with the RV basically negating the need for motels along the way, plus less pit stops cause the passengers can nap, use the bathroom, or microwave something while I'm driving! X3) Buuuuut...the last minute Category [almost-]5 hurricane making landfall and originally predicted to direcly impact the city where we were staying....yeah, we went to Virginia instead. x3;; But all the more point of taking an RV! No hotels to deal with or anything, just changed the destination campsite. We stayed at a KOA campground, so we called the first one to cancel (and because it was due to the hurricane, they waived the small cancellation fee) and booked one in Williamsburg, VA instead. It also meant a LOT less driving and a lot more time to enjoy ourselves (literally two more nights staying put...) XD This time around btw, it was myself, my fiancee Alex, our best furiend Landis, and our cat Bindi. We spent a day at Busch Gardens, where purely by chance, we bumped into another group of 3 furries, and so the 6 of us spent the rest of the time hanging together! :D For the record, both this time around and last year, we booked an RV through RVShare.com. RV owners list their RVs online, and you can rent from them. But being through RVShare, it's just like booking through any other thing like CruiseAmerica, where they take a deposit for incidentals, you purchase insurance which includes 24/7 roadside assistance, etc. Filling out the forms feels almost exactly like renting a U-Haul - there's photos, including any existing damage, the mileage and generator hours and fuel levels are recorded both before and after, and you are allotted a certain number of miles and generator hours per night, per the owner's choice (right on the listing). I think the owners get to set the deposit amount, too, and of course they choose the cost per night. Ours was $279/night, which was slightly discounted because it was >=7 nights. Definitely a fun experience, everyone I've told about it has expressed interest in renting one themselves now! X3 Even my mother and older sister now want to go in on renting one sometime. My sister LOVES to camp - like hardcore in the middle of nowhere with a tent camping (which I've also done before) - but my mom is elderly and can't be too far from a real bathroom with shower and electricity lol. So this would be a great compromise for them both! :3 Aaaanyway. Hope you had fun with your family!!! :3
