Hidden Details: Psalm 493

Welcome to the one-hundredth-and-eleventh episode of the Hidden Details blog (Bilbo would be proud)!

Have you found some obscure reference or detail in this comic? A JoJo reference? A sneaky little Loss? A callback to a previous comic? Let us know what you've found in the comments! Every detail that has been found will be added to the list below. Once everything has been found, this comic will officially be marked with "all details found".

Link to the comic for your convenience

Please only comment with ONE hidden detail or reference!

There ONE Loss, ONE Balthazar and ONE JoJo reference. Bonus panels don't count.

1: In the first panel, Sora is winning a Master Ball for being the 1000th visitor to the Poké Center in the background. We call that foreshadowing, Abdulaziz Alaryani.
2:
The Pokémon Center is the one in Sandgem town, as indicated by the houses in the background and the sign in the first panel. Nicely found, Erin.
3:
The woman who congratulates Sora is Diamond/Pearl/Platinum Beauty!
4:
Jigglypuff is deflated and draped over Charizard, since she's the balloon Pokémon.
5:
Piranha Plant is indeed blowing a raspberry to the Poké Center in the second panel, happy pasta!
6:
There's still some confetti in Sora's hair after winning the Master Ball in the second panel. Good eyes, Lord Circe.
7:
It is, Phloxiana! Those are Baltabun's and Buneary's ears in the second panel.
8:
The fighters are exhausted after climbing the stairs except for, of course, Kazuya, who isn't phased by any of it. Found by Put 9-Volt In Smash Bros Please and Noah.
9:
Pichu is chilling on top op the stack of dead Pokémon in the fourth panel.
10:
There's a sign on one of the pillars in the third panel reading "PLAY FLUTE 4 GOD".
11:
The Drifloon from the previous comic makes another appearance, as spotted by Luke. It's silhouette is visible in the third panel.
12:
You're right, Shelby Kinkead, Cynthia's dialogue is a jab at the Azure Flute/Arceus event that never happened.
13
: I didn't know abou tthe rabbit-squirrel John Leonard. But Pikachu riding Samus' shoulder was indeed a reference to them teaming up in Brawl!
14:
Arceus' speech bubbles look like scrolls with divine texts, because he's a god and all. I think I did this before in some Galar Border Patrol comic, Zanreo.
15:
Deoxys' little triangle thing from the Delta Episode in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire is floating by in the fifth panel. Good catch, Carlos Mendez. That moment was so epic. Possible the last time a Pokémon truly managed to wow me.
16:
Haha yeah, Kazooie is ready to throw hands with Arceus, Zach. Feisty bird.
17:
There's a little Cleffa floating by on a meteorite in the final panel. Cleffa is supposedly an extraterrestial Pokémon that arrives on meteorites. Good catch, John Hattan.
18:
This week's loss is visible by connecting the bright stars in the fifth panel. This one was pretty subtle, wouldn't you agree IGRecca27?
19:
Wario has a little amogus zipper on his backpack in the final panel. I think we can consider the little impostors weekly guests at this point, Trigger.
20:
I once again used a "To Be Continued" arrow from JoJo in the final panel. Correct, Cameron Devera.
21:
Honestly, Daniel Myhre, I didn't even remember Arceus being in Smash. But I have to admit you're right, the glowing light beams I drew do resemble him using Judgement in Smash.
22:
And finally, the title was a reference to Arceus' Pokédex number (493). That definitely counts, Roberto Nava.

Next week, I'll reveal all the details that haven't been found. These ones are written in italic.

Hidden Details: Psalm 493

Comments

But seriously though I will be very disappointed if they don’t officially do the Arceus event like they were supposed to in the original!

Shelby Kinkead

Sora got a Master Ball for being the thousandth vistor in the Pokémon center and he used it to capture Arceus.

RedViolet69

Arceus' speech bubbles looks like a scroll

Zanreo

Samus carried the corpse pile up the stairs the same way she's carried it everywhere. And though we can't see her face, I would bet she's just as not tired out as Kazuya.

Aris

When Arceus is about to use judgement, It has the same beams of light as when it does in Smash

Pokedude14

Wario and Link are out of breath after they walked up the stairs in the third panel.

Supercharged (CEO of 9-Volt)

Sora gets the master ball at the beginning and looks at it

Onemariobro

Kazooie is ready to square up with Arceus.

Zach

Well it's not in the comic itself, but the number of the psalm is Arceus dex number 493

Roberto Nava

Definitely Balthazar. It matches the floof from last week.

Lord Circe

Might be a stretch, but I believe that’s Balthazar or Bunneary next to Cynthia in her introductory panel. It’s somebunny’s floof.

Phloxiana

There’s a cleffa holding onto a moon rock in the last panel, since the evolution line later needs a moon stone

ColdSlayerxd

Confetti is clinging to Sora's hair after the Pokemon Center.

Lord Circe

Pikachu riding on Samus's shoulder is a reference to two things. 1) Remembering the time they spent together in the Subspace Emissary in SSBB. 2) In the Metroid manga, Samus has a pet rabbit-squirrel named Pyonchi, who would also ride on Samus's shoulder.

John Leonard

Loss is in the stars in the panel when Arceus first shows up, above all the other characters

Piranha Planet is sticking its tongue out and blowing a raspberry at the Pokémon Center in the 2nd panel

happy pasta

they went to a specific pokemon centre in sandgem!

Erin

Kazuya is not exhausted from walking up the stairs

Noah

Also while it’s technically not a hidden detail since it’s in a bonus panel, I’m surprised to see Sora doing a Pog Champ meme during his latest selfie

Shelby Kinkead

There’s probably a JoJo reference somewhere

You can see Deoxys' prism in space before Arceus is bonked

Luffink

I feel like that it’s a reference to the lottery loto grand prize

Shelby Kinkead

Deoxys in the second to last panel

GhostElmo

1000 customer master ball

THEx

A reference to the Arceus event in the original Diamond and pearl game that was never released is referenced

Shelby Kinkead

Last panel has a “To be Continued”!

Cameron Devera

A cleffa is adrift in the last panel

John Hattan

Tiny Amogus zipper in Wario's backpack!

Trigger

The drifloon from last week can still be seen carrying the poke kid in the background

Luke
