The one for "don't have any other gods" is a guy using a computer to judge how thick the ice on a pond is to see whether his son can skate on it, his computer says it's thick enough but the sign on the pond says it's not, and he ignores the sign (god) and naturally the kid falls through the ice and dies. I haven't seen it in fifteen years so I could be way off.
