One day I'll figure out how to draw better muzzles. Finally finished writing chapter 8 of Lune today! God damn, that took forever! Started it a few weeks back, and had hoped to have it done this past weekend. Oh well. Still waiting to hear feedback in regards to it, but hopefully it won't need too much work. Part of the problem is that while most of the chapters so far ran between 1.5k-2.5k words, this one clocked in 5k+ (as of its current first draft). There also isn't a good spot to split it into two chapters either. The chapter itself is an extension of the chapter before it in terms of scenes. The whole thing runs pretty constant from beginning to end, and splitting it would mean introducing a huge bump in the road in terms of pacing. It'll be worst for those reading it update to update, as it'll mean waiting two days before finally seeing the rest of the scene play out. There's always a chance of cutting chunks of it out to shorten it and speed things through, so it might not be as big of a deal. Anyway, happy to finally have it done and I can resume working on the outline, which coincidentally ended at this chapter!
