EP26 Part 2 Update - Heatwave cripples the Alfabus

AY
Welcome back to another 10-day interval update, where you'll be informed about the life-events of a scandinavian man's torpefying relationship with the blistering heat of the sun.
EP26 Update:
So I don't have too much to update you on EP26 as of currently, other than that I've done less work that I am comfortable with. I have made progress, but there has been a problem; HEAT.
It's been about 32 degrees celcius (or 90 fahrenheit if you swing that way) for a week now. First time it's been like this for... actually, I don't recall it ever being this hot for this prolonged a period.
For the last 3 days, I've been living in a river, hanging out in the water with some perch fish. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to bring my editing equipment into the river with me.
The only time I've been able to propely sit around in the apartment to work is towards the evening, when the blistering heat goes away for a few seconds before it starts it crawl right up the horizon again.
Now, you might just live in a hot country and you're thinking to yourself--what, you can't be in your apartment? You don't have air conditions or something?
And the answer is AIR CONDITIONS IN A BUILDING? WHAT THE FUCK??
I wasn't aware people built an A/C into anything but their cars and, like, schools, I guess, until very recently.
We only have a fan, and windows that can be opened. That's all we got, and it isn't really enough.
Sorry, I've been ranting about the sun for long enough.
I can report that my fellow editor, Zojammerweer, has finished his very first scene for TTS! I am very happy with the result, and I am incredibly glad that he's helping me out. He's now working in a second scene, one that is a bit more complicated, but I am absolutely certain he can pull it off beautifully. The one issue we've come across is that his computer isn't quite up to the task of pre-rendering everything I've stuffed into this scene. But that's something we should be able to fix, just need to get him a new graphics card!
Other than that, I'll continue my work more properly as this heatwave dissipates and make sure to have something more fun to report next time around. In the meantime, I'll just go and buy another fan, I guess.
Have a good one!!
Cant wait for winter. It does not snow in Ohio anymore for some reason. I swear our Swedish Skin Boils at 75.f (20.c) summer is rather unconfortable. My mother will actually migrate to the basement during summer its quite amusing.

All our houses here in Northern Europe are insulated to keep in the heat.

Window air Conditioner only helps a little. I am used to over 100 degrees for weeks in Texas, but even I had a terrible summer so far, with triple digits for over a week and a half, we generally get 104-110 degrees, it has been insane.

Ahh, the good old fun that is Scandinavian housing being built to KEEP HEAT INSIDE THE HOUSE due to the fact that conditions have been icy cold for countless generations. Who would have thought our insulation practices would doom us to living inside furnaces later down the line?

the european heatwave has literally the same temperature as the brazilian winter, so i guess i'll die once i get to the true cold.

I am not so sure I believe your story. I would like to see a picture of this river and the fish

They sell window air conditioners for about $200. Try going to a place like Texas without one and watch as the tears evaporate from your face during the winter.

You merely adopted the heat. I was born to it, moulded by it, I didn't see winter until I was a man, and then it was freezing.

Welcome to my hell, I haven't worn anything other than T-shirts and shorts for over 3 years besides when North America entirely froze over for around a week this year.

I also was suffering from heat for quite a while only for it to be suddenly replaced by a fucking river coming down from sky alongside some really cold wind, some might consider this to be salvation, but come on, cant we have a middle ground here?

From North Ontario, Canada, I HEAR YOU! Central Air is something that's only crept up here in the last five years, and my house is about 50 years old. Let's face it, anyone denying global warming is a clod.

Look on the bright side (du-dum-tish), at least we don't orbit Fomalhaut. It's like living in Mordor!

As a portuguese, I am mandated by my genes to call you a weakling. More seriously, yeah, that kind of heat sucks. Though funnily, you guys up north have been having crazy heat this summer, while summer down here has just been crappy, which is surreal, we're usually grilling alive at this time of the year.

I live in a place where it frequently goes up to 100 degrees fahrenheit so reading about Scandinavians having a stroke over hot weather is always fun. At the same time though everybody here has a heart attack when it rains or dips below 60 degrees fahrenheit so I guess it evens out

Alfa! 2 questions pls! 1. What about the next adeptus podcastus? Please do not feel pressured, only wanted to ask what your general plan/order of videos is! ^-^ 2. Will there be a little reunion between Russ and Bjorn? Poor guy has waited for 10000 years, after all ^^ Anyway, all the best, love your work!!! As for the heat, can't you motivate caldor draigo to do his "No, Sun!" for around your house or something? :P

They don't sell window air conditioners in your country? If not for mine I'd have died long ago.

I got you Alfa. I understand your pain here in Fort Irwin myself. Hopefully you can find a solution!
