Vroom Socko Sketch
Added 2025-09-18 00:31:25 +0000 UTCThe customer who picked up the Deadpool book chose Vroom Socko for the bonus sketch. I couldn't do a sketch in the book itself (very slick paper and mostly black indicia pages and inside covers) so I offered a quick card sketch. I haven't drawn him (or Guff, his sidekick) in quite a while, and kind of got into it beyond a quick sketch. It helped that the movie I had on was pretty lousy. I always enjoyed drawing Guff. The characters go back almost 40 years now, Pirate Corp$! started in 1987. Yikes. Holy yikes.

2025-09-18 17:03:06 +0000 UTCI wouldn't be surprised if one of the myriad gun toting maniacs in the Trigun manga was inspired by Vroom Socko. The author had stated he was into American comics and it shows on some of his designs.
