Please Stand By: We Are Experiencing Operating Difficulties
Added 2022-12-07 23:27:02 +0000 UTCMy scanner is not operating correctly, I don't know what the trouble is but I wonder if it might have to do with my computer updating to Windows 11. The scanner isn't displaying the preview menu or the image adjustment menu, it doesn't even show the scan button automatically now. I'm trying to use the help function and it's...no help. I am looking online but don't seem able to ask the right questions or find the right answers. This has been an hour and a half of me going "???". I'm going to ask Sarah to take a look at it when she's back from running errands, maybe it's something obvious to someone who understands these things. That person is not me.
I have a new one-page writing comic, a new Milk & Cheese color mini-pinup/downloadable print, and a horror comic experiment panel sitting here and no way to scan them. Not having fun tonight. Ignorance isn't always bliss. More later, asap.

2022-12-08 18:26:45 +0000 UTCYeah, Sarah just went through it with me and she thinks the scanner is fine albeit old, but the Epson software is not up to snuff. And either needs an update or won't get an update. But I am now learning to scan in photoshop where the Epson scanner is working fine. I'm just used to scanning in a very simplistic neanderthal manner. So, today I am learning about levels. And stuff. So, I expect do screw up a bit while using photoshop, between my lizard brain and fumble fingers. Fumble fingers crossed I'll get things in order. Wheee.

2022-12-08 00:02:23 +0000 UTCI'm guessing your device driver for the scanner needs to be updated. Someone more Microsoft savvy can help you with the details, but I bet that is what the issue is. It probably does have to do with the windows update.
