Forget why I drew this particular piece, I think it was a commission, I want to say I did this one as a trade piece but I can't remember. I was surprised to see it was from 2008, for some reason I thought it was more recent.
FYI, the World's Funnest Golden Age segment post will pop in the next few days.
Hope you are all having a decent holiday. I'm the kind of person who forgets there's even a holiday coming up, at least the ones that aren't Halloween. And Christmas. I'm a bad Jew because I never know when Hannukah is. And for other reasons, sure.
I've been drawing and packing up some art orders and spent some time yesterday putting some collectibles up on eBay. Another box turned up of things we didn't know were still in the house, turns out the kid had some Funko Pop figures that are potentially worth enough to spend time listing them. I feel more like a retailer some days than a cartoonist this past year or two, but I guess making money is making money, and selling stuff is selling stuff, and you do what you have to do (unless it's NFTs). I'm really not complaining. I'd just like to reach a point where we can spin a few less plates and focus on making more stuff.
Anyway, I'm off to the supermarket to buy a few things and kill some time before the pharmacy opens and I can pick up a prescription for Sarah, and then it's bed time.
Eww. The sun's out, hopefully I won't burst into flames when I step outside.
