Back when we had a lot more going on, including actual in-person conventions. Seems so long ago.
How things develop and change. The situation with Pinup Girl Clothing fell into disaster as things crumbled with and within the company, and so went a good, steady source of income. Two volumes of Blackwood, the "secret series" have come out, and the future of the project is up in the air as the industry continues to shudder and shake through Covid 19. We didn't attend any conventions in 2019, I had plans to do some shows in 2020, which of course, couldn't happen, and there won't be any cons for in my future this year, which means at least a 3-year gap. Jill Thompson never did finish the second half of The Presence of others, which Benjamin Dewey stepped in and saved. We did win that Eisner. The Dork collection did come out, to very little fanfare, unfortunately -- hell, almost none of the HOF projects mentioned here turned a profit. The Ben 10 job was our last animation gig -- we haven't actually watched the episode, yet. The Supergirl material is getting collected again this year.
Speaking of this year, here's an interview I did several days ago with Selina Lovett from Annie's Book Stop of Worcester, an indy book store in Central Massachusetts. We talked Beasts of Burden, the new mini-series, comics, writing and other stuff. Please forgive my fuzzy internet (and unkempt hair).
