In case you've been wondering: I've stayed busy! I just haven't had a lot to really SHOW for it lately. The reason being: I'm getting into the real nit and gritty of things now. So all I'd be showing off is screenshots of me breaking things.
However, I can say that I now have Yoko in the game, casting spells and using some snazzy effects. But without animations- it just all looks silly. So I have to start designing what those movements will even be and then ANIMATE THEM MYSELF!!
I also spent time to try and see what I could do about Player Progression and "Leveling Up". And once I figured that out- I realized... I didn't want to go that traditional route.
I mean, do we really want a game that's just some basic RPG with only light elements of tickle torture? Orrrrr, we can do what I have decided:
In the HIPFC - "Isekai Project", you'll be playing as Yoko, Cassandra and friends as they involve themselves in the Alpha test of an adult PVP focused MMO being partially funded by Cassandra herself!
At first, everything runs like a normal game. With glitched (And ticklish!) NPC barmaids and a player base that is already trying to take advantage of one another. Their attention mostly being focused on the outnumbered female player base!
Of course, it wouldn't REALLY be an Isekai if our girls could just log out at the end of the day. Which is where the Isekai Project breaks off from the timeline of the original online strip/manga. In a way that contains far too many spoilers to explain!!!
Suffice it to say, Yoko and Cassandra find themselves unable to logout the second time they log into the game! Not only that, but the NPCs are no longer acting like NPCs, their hormones and bodies have altered to meet their character specs and the once sparse, half built Island is now apparently COMPLETE!
The game is a HACK & SLASH Adventure, from a 3rd person perspective. Over the course of the story you'll encounter various warriors and diplomats with unique abilities.
Some of which will be far too much for Yoko and Cassandra to handle. Not unless they become stronger and gain new abilities. All of which can only be obtained one way: TICKLE TORTURE.
Even though the game has become real, a lot of the rules and abilities set up by Cassandra and the game's true designer still run how the island and it's people function in reality. The inhabitants are aware that there are two ways of gaining another person's abilities: By prolonged training under said individual, or by simply capturing and tickling that person until they are in a "Broken" state. At this point, one of the ticklers may take a specific skill from the ticklee.
So over the course of the game, you'll find and capture politicians, warriors and even barmaids to tickle torture until they are "broken". At this time you'll gain the necessary skill, health and mana increases needed to overcome the next enemy!
Otherwise, there is no leveling up from defeating enemies in combat.
Currently I've gotten Yoko, Cass and Wild completed and set up. The big problem right now isn't actually how to get these tickle torture systems and ability systems to all work and coalesce. I've already confirmed that most of this can be done- but will be done consuming! As all things are!
The problem now is: ANIMATIONS.
I'll be flying out for the Chinese New Year soon, but will continue to work while in Taiwan and Japan! It will also only be about just over a month's time!
I'll be outlining the attack animations for Yoko, Cass and Wild and start on those! I'll also need to create one more basic enemy so I can start on creating Tickle Torture animations using groups of 4-5!
I'm confident that I can figure this out. It's only a matter of time!
