RiffTrax Theme song demo
Added 2019-09-12 17:24:32 +0000 UTCFor our first-ever Patreon post, we thought we'd reach back a bit and offer you this brief journey into RiffTrax History with a demo of our theme song, from our good pal Jonathan Coulton.
Way back in 2013, JoCo took a short break from going Cruise-Crazy to write and record our new theme song; this demo track was his first draft.
While much of the song remained the same in the final version, you can see how the lyrics have changed a bit, while still retaining that classic Coulton sound. He even recorded a bunch of alternate takes, switching out the characters who protect our secret server to other formidable bouncers, such as the Ice Cream Bunny, three hundred Spartans, and everyone’s favorite disheveled-guy-with-a-broken-bottle-for-a-weapon, Nick Nolte.
