Hollywood What If Chapter 158

"Wallace! Hurry up! Take your damn popcorn and sit down!"

"Calm down, okay."

Billy and Wallace used the restroom since it would be terrible if they went right when the movie was at its climax. The two understood that this was an action movie and it would definitely be an adrenaline-pumping experience. 

Billy and Wallace watched Napoleon Dynamite's four years ago and they found it funny. Since then, they became fans of Director Kazir Grey. They watched The Hangover which was funnier than Napoleon Dynamite. Then they watched Taken as well, it was a movie suited for men like them. 

They already graduated from college and working on their respective careers. Watching movies was the only time when they could hang out now that they were busy adults. 

Whenever Kazir Grey produced a movie, they would watch it. It became a tradition for the two. It was a good thing that Kazir Grey had a yearly movie. 

The premier night for John Wick was not that packed unlike what they expected. Perhaps the September schedule and R-Rated were some of the factors why the reception was mediocre. Still, it didn't stop some avid fans to watch the movie. 

The movie started. Wallace and Billy looked at the screen while munching popcorn. The logo of Grey Pictures and Paramount Pictures showed one by one. 

[The first five minutes of the movie were about John Wick(Viggo Mortensen) and how he lost his wife. His friends showed up at the funeral. John Wick was sad about the death of his wife but a dog gave him hope to live. The dog was the last gift of his wife.]

The audience didn't have a strong attachment to John Wick's wife and they believe that it was only a plot progression. 

However, they find the dog adorable. 

"The dog is very cute!"

At least one person in each theater would say that while watching the cute dog getting close to John Wick. 

As for Billy and Wallace, their focus was on a different thing. They watched Taken and recalled something important. 

"Hey, that Raizo... He showed up in Taken, right?"

"Yeah, I think so."

[Raizo(Enzo Park) appeared at the funeral and talked to John Wick for a few seconds before disappearing in the dark again. His conversation with John Wick was brief and a bit confusing. In the first place, the audience didn't have any information about the protagonist, John Wick.]

[Marcus attended the funeral as well as expressed his condolences to John Wick.]

[After that, the story slowly progressed but the audience was still clueless about John Wick's identity.]

"Where's the action?"

"Shhh, the movie is just getting started. We are not even 10 minutes into the movie."

[The action scenes that they were talking about were about to happen. John Wick and his dog went to a gas station. There, they met the asshole son of Viggo Tarasov, Iosef Tarasov.]

[Because John Wick didn't agree on selling his car which was a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 and replied in Russian, Iosef decided to trespass on his house and attack John Wick.]

[Iosef was the son of a Russian Mafia boss so he thought he owns the world.]

[Iosef succeeded and stole the car. He and his friends beat John Wick and killed his dog... That was the last they should've done.]

The audience felt sad when they realized that the dog died.

[After that incident, the audience started to understand that John Wick was not that simple at all! He was the Baba Yaga! The one to send to kill the Boogeyman.]

"So John Wick is actually a professional hitman!"

[Fortis Fortuna Adiuvat. A tattoo on John Wick's back. In Latin it means  "fortune favors the bold."]

[With his attire, John Wick, stepped into the world of assassins to get revenge.]

[He returned to Continental Hotel. Met Winston. Talked to Viggo Tarasov on the phone, and started his revenge on killing people.]

Although the movie was ongoing, Billy and Wallace saw another cameo from Kazir Grey. 

This time, Kazir Grey was talking to a black man who had an afro. The two were in the Continental Hotel. 

"Kazir showed up again!"

The audio from their conversation was weak and the audience could not hear them. It seemed that they were talking about some serious stuff because their expressions were quite heavy. As if Kazir was giving Fremont a chance to prove himself. 

[In the Continental Hotel, they used golden coins as their currency. Just like what Bryan Mills did to get information from Raizo.]

[Just like what the audience expected, the movie was filled with action, combats, and gun battles.]

"Cool! This is so freaking cool!!"

[Yet unlike the over-the-top action movies that proceed to use heavy and big guns and simple action stunts, the action sequences in John Wick were realistic and blood boiling, as if the audience was watching a real battle.]

"This is what I like! Action movies these days don't even have a magazine reload scene! No gun has infinite bullets! Of course you need to reload!"

Wallace roared and stuffed a handful of popcorn in his mouth. 

[John Wick was against a Mafia organization and he was at a disadvantage. He got thrown from the second floor of the bar, shot in the abdomen, and almost died in suffocation after he was caught.]

[Thankfully, Marcus saved him with his sniper rifle. Marcus was a real friend. He didn't betray John Wick for two million dollars.]

[After receiving help from Marcus, John Wick killed his way until he found Iosef Tarasov and got his revenge. After that, John Wick found another dog and decided to adopt it.]

[The end...]

"Woohoo!"

"Nice!"

Even though the plot of the movie was generic and the audience already have an idea of what the ending would be, they were still entertained.

A few minutes after the credits rolled, the screen lit up again for the post-credit scene. 

The audience who were standing stopped at their feet and watched the last scene. 

[This time, Marcus met John Wick and talked about the High Table. Apparently, The Fraternity was getting out of hand.]
