A study of the problems and solutions for the future reform of skyrim's combat system

I don't know if you've ever noticed that when you're in a fight and two characters get too close together, your AMR may fail or your movement distance may be shortened, this is especially noticeable in the AMR Z-axis, where you may not be able to jump through the Z-axis when you're close to an enemy, but instead you'll be fixed in place

We recently found out that this is because skyrim has its own “adsorption system”.

The closer the two characters are, the stronger the gravitational pull between them, and the system tries to keep them from separating from each other, I'm not sure if that makes any sense to you

It's not just BFCO or MCO, even vanilla has this problem

This will lead to nothing?:

As a simple example, when two characters are close together, if you trigger stagger, your stagger animation is supposed to move the character back 140 AMR distance, but in reality it can only move 70 after being adsorbed, and the same goes for attacks... ever notice how attacks move shorter distances?

You can see in the video that the problem comes from vanilla

MAXSU found the issue and made a test DLL for it, so far it works well, we're not sure if there are more issues, still working on it

In the second half of the video I show how the AMR Z-axis works after disengaging the adsorption system using this DLL, you can see that I can fly even when I'm close to the enemy!

For those of you who have played my MHW Z-axis version, you should know that sometimes you can't take off when you're this close, so look for us to be working on these issues to get the AMR Z-axis version on NEXUS as soon as possible

Comments

Also BFCO has been updated for MCO annotation compatibility, feel free to test it and use it, by the way if the above mentioned issues are resolved and the AMR Z-axis can be released without any problems, we may reboot the decision to make a new MCO
