Dragon's Eye Minimap 0.7 + Local Map Upgrade 1.1

Hi guys!

First, I'm excited to tell you that the minimap mod is near its end of development and soon will be released publicly. I will work on more cool features for it on the future, but I think it is pretty close to a 1.0 version. I found the source of the CTDs and fixed it (hopefully). Also I think I fixed the infamous L key... you tell me please, this time I could replicate your issue and solved it, hopefully there is nothing else blocking it πŸ™

Second, Local Map Upgrade is updated to 1.1. Water rendering in cities and interiors is fixed now in both local map and this minimap mod.

Maybe you don't know, but having installed Local Map Upgrade enables color on this mod also and adds the fixes of the local map!! 😁

Enough talk! Here is the new version.

Happens whenever I press hold to switch to other options then release then again right after. Blame it on user error for trying to break the tool.

Awesome update, the only thing I noticed as far as CTD is when I hit L too many times. As long as I don't use the L button, then everything works perfectly! Additionally, I noticed sometimes it prevents other keybinding from working such as wait time (T) or bringing up the character sheets (U). Those don't really bother me much right now. Thank you for this awesome update!

Address library? Infinity UI? In the post you have the requirements, without them it will CTD.

Hey! Skins not ready yet, it will work but it will be displayed exactly as in the video (vanilla look). Expect some skins for the final release :)

I suggest an ini file for configuration ;) While the Map control button is held, the right stick moves the map and 2 other configurable buttons do the zoom. I have 2 more additions: - It would be great if you could allow a button combination for map controls. When using gamepads, the buttons are limited and being able to use a button combination will be great - Maybe add an option to make the map control "L" a toggle button instead of one that requires to be pressed permanently.

Not a stupid question at all. I couldn't figure out what is the best button/buttons for controllers. For next version I will try and add better support for them :)

I'm a gamepad user, after casting a rune, I can't talk to npc (the minimap didn't hide during dialogue, no response to 'A' and 'B' buttons), the bug remains even after I reloaded a save. Showcase: https://imgur.com/a/uK4UtG4

Cheers! The draw calls are inevitable, since I'm using the Skyrim system and displaying a minimap means rendering the scene as seen from above. I count with a performance hit, just not as big as Felisky's one. The round version and hiding the minimap are in the roadmap, in other posts I said that I want to make it similar to the minimap in Helldivers 2 :)

Nice man! Ran around for a bit in whiterun and no ctd and objects and walls did not dissappear as before. I noticed draw calls going up about 1000, so might give some people fps loss. Water flickered between black and white on the minimap until I downloaded your local map mod. Now its perfectly fine. I would love a round version and the ability to hide the minimap! I run a modlist with 1500 mods and no problems yet :D Thank you for your mod!

Hey, I appreciate your response. Don't worry about any feature/enhancement requests. Stability and compatibility is more important. The colored terrain improves the quality tenfold already :) When I have time I will test it on GOG 1179 and see if there will be any CTD or flickering issue. I am a little busy right now but maybe I'll have some time and motivation in the evenings :)

Fixed CTDs caused on vanilla situation with 0.7. Now working on it my friend :)

I had to disable reflections in the water to solve the flickering bug. I'll see what can be done after 1.0 release. My focus now is on compatibility with other mods (community shaders and nolvus mod pack) since I think all CTDs in vanilla are fixed. With respect to changing the fog of war... for the moment I lack the knowledge and skill to change that. I can analyse the feasibility after 1.0.

This looks great, one question however: Is it possible to have water display as water on the Dragon's Eye Minimap? It's irritating when it is displayed just as "nothing". If possible, it would be great if the fog of vision also could be displayed as some kind of fog instead of just black/nothing. I always had issues with those empty areas on the local map.
