very happy with how this turned out! I do love writing/drawing emil X) I def want to do more with him in the future!
the lineart felt like it went so fast. this time I mixed it up so that before dinner I did sketches and after dinner I caught up with lineart. netting 5 pages in a day at my peak speed. 5.5 days in I was done with all the lineart, and the last two days have been coloring.
even though sketches+line take the most time, flat colors is personally the worst task. takes a single full workday and completely numbs my brain XD all the flicking between tools and color picking. doing the same paint by numbers over and over. if there was any part I could automate, it would be that part. the rest is all a blast, shading afterwards takes half as long and is so much more satisfying. X) /rant over
