You know, when it comes for costume parties (no, I don’t mean cosplay, I mean costume, it’s not the same) the only thing that comes to my mind is Carnival. That’s one of the holidays that I grow up with, and it stayed with me ever since I was a kid. I’ve never celebrated Halloween because, in my times, my country never celebrates that holiday season. Maybe is because we see that holiday as something from the USA, whatever the reasons are.
I don’t feel identified with Halloween. Not even today that, for some unknown reason, we celebrate it. If I were in the USA, that would be a different story. Call me nationalist, but I don’t like celebrating Halloween in Venezuela.
Anyway, here’s my art for this Carnival season. And look at this, a new OC! Her name is Shaira, and she’s the Carnival Girl!
