The Boy Who Cried "FREE ENERGY"

I really hoped the boy would not continue on his shenanigans. But I guess not.

You can increase your chance by also saying yes to the scope here: https://goo.gl/forms/6HsG0YlkWQnE4Dpc2

The Boy Who Cried "FREE ENERGY"

Comments

is it? so I can cancel my pledge and provide useful discussion instead?

Kai Song

Wow, on a channel run by such a smart dude I didn't think there'd be so many fucking idiots... half the comments are "gimme a scope!". It says it right there on the side of the page guys: "you are automatically in the giveaways if I have one available, no need to leave a comment anywhere!" But yeah, reading is hard for some people I guess.

Chris Talbot

Well, does anybody listen to the video? The pledge for a free scope is covering up useful discussion. ._.

Gimme-da-scope!!! I literally became a Patreon after this video and the one where you told the DC to AC manufactures how to create a MOSFET circuit to keep from blowing up the device from reverse polarity. Also with your videos I am creating a power supply for my battery to power my other devices.

Anthony Vasquez

I'm not electrician but I would love a scope to toy around with my project miata's sensor and learn the black magic inside those wires.

I'm glad Mehdi made sure to let everyone know where patrons stand as far as the give away goes so that the comments don't get cluttered up

My heart desires only a scope.

Mike oliver

I hope the scope also comes with a unibrow. I will call him Mr. Scope.

I'd love a keysight scope please!

Maxximooose

I badly need a scope for my channel. Fingers crossed!

RetroRGB

I wonder if there was a radio transmitter in the area, such as a neighbour running a pirate radio station.

Seán Byrne

He doesn't, i think he knows clearly that he is just bullshitting everybody.

Andreas

id love a scope as it will help me fix my parents 65 inch tv, plus other things.... yes i know i need to change my picture, i only just set this thing up

I wonder, if he belives his own sh...

A scope... a dream... an expensive dream... :D

mmmmmmm scope..... it would be lovely but the postage would kill from vancouver to UK ;o)

In fact, the spoon is not real. The only important thing is the towel hidden in the bucket! You always need a towel.

Maybe this kid lives right next to the VLF Transmitter Cuttler... <a href="https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/VLF_Transmitter_Cutler" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/VLF_Transmitter_Cutler</a>

gimme da keysight

Jason Parker

I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed a Keysight x

GIMME DE KEYSIGHT

Posted this on yt comment perhaps a super cap manufactured or possibly homebrew in the can technically not a battery so they are not actually lying though it would still be deceptive also as a also if it was a super cap in the can would the cumulative gain from the antenna say over several weeks charge it enough to light the leds for a few minutes?

or perhaps this one? <a href="https://youtu.be/u4ILnWpi8XY" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/u4ILnWpi8XY</a>

Fabiano and Mike, please watch this video again from 10:55 to 11:20. Twenty-five seconds, it's worth it.

Continental Breakfast

Me want that Keysight in my sight! Aight?

Please gimme da scope

That paper says it was written/presented in 2010 by: Hamid Jabbar, Youngseok Song, and Taikyeong Ted. Jeong

I'm sure the kid is being egged on by an adult. I don't believe that a kid can be so evil as to try to deceive the world.....but an adult can! Let's not blame the kid but blame the adult who is behind him.

Read it and weep Loughan was published in IEEE "Wirelessly charging mobile devices from ambient RF sources" Abstract: A universal wireless battery charger, consisting of a paint bucket, some coils and a spoon, for portable and mobile devices can use ambient Radio Frequency (RF) or electromagnetic signals as a renewable energy resource, emitted by different sources for communications. In this paper, we designed a RF circuit that enables to charging mobile devices. This will result in continuous charging of device especially in urban areas where the density of RF sources is high. <a href="http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/5418717/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/5418717/</a>

Yeah, as stated by other, the spoon is the key element. I can get a lof of energy with a spoon (and a meal, but that's irrelevant).

Cley Faye

Your antenna setup was missing the spoon!!!! X)

Poor kid. Too much attention. Even if its a prank, his parents should not have let this go on, or even use him to make money.

Marco Vujevic

I love these disproving BS videos. I learn so much from them because I would usually just ignore all logic in those BS videos and come out with nothing but cynicism.

John Nguyen

I guess the next Tesla car will run on spoons!

Interesting, if you start your video with a joke (or some funny behaviour) I more often returning to watch it again, even when the rest of it is junk (it never was ;)). You can check it in youtube stats if there is a possibility, maybe I'm not the only one, and this is a key to grab more juicy yt views.

The kid's talk sounded like it is based on the Turbo Encabulator (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLDgQg6bq7o)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLDgQg6bq7o)</a>

I wonder if you can get a peak of 2v, whether a joule thief( big clive makes one) coupled to a capacitor could power a white led consistently. He said that it will turn on at .6 of a volt bit will run down to .3 of a volt. Or is it not possible?

Scope, da best. Never had one.

"Never forget to spoon" .... Epic!

Kenneth M.

Hm. The Keysight Wave is just a background image? I can't work like this. Especially without a scope. (And yes, I am a common idiot who has to watch a video to the end before commenting.)

gimme da meeta! &lt;3

Ando Nel

Did the audio de-sync for everyone else around 2:40, or was it just me?

Give me the MEEEETAAAAA!!!!!! Edit: Also I don't see a !!!FULL BRIDGE RECTIFIER!!! proudly displayed on the device therefore its claims are invalid.

Mario Castillo

Uri Geller must somehow be involved.

Rob Clark

I’m curious if there’s something else that could be going on here-like if the kid’s family lives over a big inductor of some kind and none of them is smart enough to move before they all get brain tumors or something.

Jason Hoffman

And perhaps the kid used a site like these to write his presentation... <a href="http://thatsmathematics.com/mathgen/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://thatsmathematics.com/mathgen/</a>or <a href="https://pdos.csail.mit.edu/archive/scigen/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://pdos.csail.mit.edu/archive/scigen/</a> because they are good enough to get past an editorial panel <a href="http://thatsmathematics.com/blog/archives/102" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">http://thatsmathematics.com/blog/archives/102</a> I remember about twenty years ago a fellow successfully defended a PhD in math with what many experts in the field felt was a meaningless paper. The kid is smart, but the wrong kind of smart.

gimmie da spoon?

Scope! Yes please... And I did some experiments a few years ago with crystal sets and did get one green led to act as a (crummy) detector, lighting up and flickering with the audio... However I was about 2km from the transmitter and I was using a long line aerial as well. Probably around 2v peak... I was thinking, yep his setup could do something on a small scale when I first saw it... But that LED string was an instant red flag.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who went Matrix on this.

He's a good con artist, bad inventor. Good demo on the scope, I didn't know they had a FFT function! I really should get a new scope, I'm borrowing my friends old Hung Chang os 615s.

Well this exists: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGhe3OrNIlI" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGhe3OrNIlI</a>

To be fair to the kid, he didn't claim it was a free energy device. He claimed the device gathered the electricity from electromagnetic waves in the air. That said, he certainly wouldn't be able to get what he claims.

The magic coffee can... and don't forget the all powerful full bridge rectifier spoon...

I have a humble suggestion for a future video - Could you possibly talk about Tesla's wireless power transmission? I read some claims of him transmitting power over 6km or so. Is that really possible? Or are those just exaggerated claims?

Very annoying to see Free energy devices claim. That violates the first law of Thermodynamics! And every system has loses. Why can't people understand something so simple?!

Wouldn't it be funny if the spoon was the entire medium between our universe and the nonsensiverse pulling energy from the rectum of the flying spaghetti monster?

ElectroBOOM [Mehdi Sadaghdar]

Obviously missing the spoon. Way to shame a kid when you don't even have the spoon factor.

avfusion

It's ok, no hard feeling!

ElectroBOOM [Mehdi Sadaghdar]

It's sad to see an apparently smart kid using his talents for nonsense. And I notice that the dad is starting to walk-back some of the claims ("it is real, but it isn't super powerful, nor did he ever claim it was.") No, he just claimed that it would power a string of LED lights. Thank you, Mehdi, for another great video.

The sad thing is that I believed it at the time

Wow, this boy is very stupid and also the people who support him or didn't stop him. I actually study electrical engineering and can tell that all my classmates and teachers will teach this boy that solar panels and other renewable energy solutions are more efficient than his "magic bucket".

Gimme da scope!

There is no spoon... and he'll be great in sales!
