General Update #41

Hey there Agents and Spacefarers!

Today we have some news to share with you about Silent Echo's next update, version 0.3.2.

New encounter

We're currently implementing a new random encounter featuring the Guardian type enemy, which was something many of you requested.

As you can expect from such encounters, the ability to have fun or be used by such a massive creature will be available, with four unique sex scenes in total for this encounter as we also added right away two female specific scenes.

With our bad boy here packing some real heat, losing is not a very good idea. ;)

Artifact Wing

We're making good progress on the artifact wing, enough that I can share some cool details about it with you.

One of the main features of the artifact wing will be the Deep Vault, a very large restricted area that holds an overwhelming amount of artifacts. This area is an experiment to see if we can add a little bit more spice to the gameplay.

The way the Deep Vault works is a fairly simple design: you start at point A and need to go to point B, but there are multiple paths available to get there. Some paths would be safe (green), others would contain something useful (blue) like a decontamination chamber, a new gun or item, or why not something for companions.

Now surely, you've also noticed the red, which are the traps. Traps may be an enemy encounter or triggering some sort of security mechanism, but what matters here is noise.

Noise is a key aspect of the Deep Vault. In the previous update, we showed you a new and mean enemy. This particular enemy will be what you'll be watching for in the Deep Vault, as if you make too much noise, this enemy will come for you, hellbent on ruining your day.

We're currently in the process of fine-tuning this experience and we're looking forward to your feedback once you get to play it. If you like how it plays out, then we'll look into adding more of these multi-path sections.

I'm also aware some players do not like this, for a variety of reasons. For those that prefer something more linear and guided, you will find a mysterious rubber duck in the very first room of the Deep Vault. If you free the rubber duck, it will act as a guide and let you know which is the best option to move forward, avoiding traps entirely.

A special achievement will be available to earn for players who choose to explore the Deep Vault without the rubber duck's help.

Starwatch Academy

The writer is almost done with the rewrites for orientation week, which brings us closer to completing this chunk of the update.

Not much else to say right now, but progress is being made :)

That's it for this week!
Have fun!

General Update #41

Comments

Deep vault sounds like an interesting way to add to the replayability. Maybe there could be some temp transformations tied to the traps for some extra spice.
