My Brob GF Ch 29: The First Day In Brobdingnag!
Added 2025-02-06 17:09:18 +0000 UTCI sat on the edge of the tiny porch of the Lilli house Harper had given me, my legs dangling over the edge as I rubbed the sleep from my eyes. Even though the house was a comfortable size, I couldn't shake the paranoia that came with being in Brobdingnag.
It was hard not to feel nervous when everything was enormous.
The floor beneath me stretched endlessly in every direction, like a vast open plain. The dresser I was sitting on might as well have been a cliffside, towering high above the ground. And the air? It felt different here—almost heavier, like gravity was working extra hard just to remind me how small I was.
I took a deep breath. Relax, Ethan. You survived yesterday, didn't you?
From the bathroom, I could hear the distant whoosh of water running. Harper was still getting ready, which gave me a few minutes to gather my thoughts. Today was supposed to be a fun day. A tour of the city, a visit to a park, maybe some shopping. Harper had clearly put effort into planning this, and the least I could do was enjoy it.
I sighed, running a hand through my hair before finally standing up and straightening out my clothes. I'd gone with something simple—dark jeans, a light button-up shirt, and a sturdy jacket. Not that fashion really mattered when you were a fraction of an inch tall in a land of giants, but hey, might as well look decent.
The ground trembled slightly.
I turned my head just in time to see Harper step back into the room.
And wow.
She was wearing a tight black top that hugged her body perfectly, leaving very little to the imagination. It was one of those outfits that was simple yet devastatingly effective. My brain completely short-circuited.
Harper twirled a strand of her hair and smirked. "So? How do I look?"
I opened my mouth. Nothing came out.
Her smirk widened. "Ethan?"
I blinked rapidly, forcing myself to snap out of it. "Y-you look good."
Harper's cheeks took on a slight pink hue, and she turned her head slightly as if to hide it. "Thanks," she said, clearly pleased with herself.
I let out a slow breath, trying to regain my composure. She always did this. Did she know the effect she had on me? Probably. No, definitely.
Harper walked over to the dresser and extended her finger, holding it steady next to me. "Alright, climb aboard."
I nodded, stepping forward and grabbing hold of her fingernail. Climbing onto Harper's finger was always a workout. To her, it was nothing, but for me, it was like scaling a small building. I pulled myself up slowly, my muscles straining as I hoisted myself over the smooth surface.
"Take your time," she said, watching me with amusement.
"Oh, I am," I muttered between breaths.
After what felt like an eternity (but was probably just a minute or two), I finally reached the center of her nail, panting slightly. "Okay. I'm good."
Harper chuckled softly. "Nice job, little guy."
She carefully lifted her hand and brought me up to a small, custom-made compartment in her necklace. It was designed just for me—a small, reinforced space with tiny windows so I could see out. As soon as I was safely inside, Harper clicked the latch shut, securing me in place.
"Alright, let's head out."
With that, she strode toward the door and stepped outside.
The moment we were in the open air, I was hit with the overwhelming vastness of Brobdingnag.
Massive buildings stretched toward the sky, their tops vanishing into the clouds. Roads that could fit entire Lilliputian cities ran through the landscape, with Brobs walking casually across them, their footfalls sending tremors through the ground. Even the sky felt impossibly big here, as if it stretched endlessly in all directions.
I swallowed hard. This place was not built for someone like me.
"You doing okay in there?" Harper's voice rang out, but instead of just coming from outside, it was amplified around me through a built-in speaker system in the necklace.
I took a deep breath. "Yeah... just taking it all in."
She smiled. "Don't worry, you'll get used to it."
I wasn't sure about that, but her voice was oddly reassuring.
As we walked, Harper started explaining our first destination. "So, there's this amazing Lilli park I want you to see. It's one of the biggest in the city, designed specifically for Lilliputians. I think you'll love it."
"That actually sounds really cool," I admitted.
"Good, because we're meeting up with a friend of mine on the way there."
I frowned. "A friend?"
"Yeah. Her name's Dolores."
My stomach twisted. One Brob was already a lot to deal with. Now there was going to be two?
Harper must have sensed my hesitation because she chuckled. "Relax, Ethan. Dolores is a well-trusted friend. She's not going to step on you or anything."
"Ha. Ha."
She laughed softly, continuing her pace down the street. Within minutes, we arrived at the park.
Even from inside the necklace, I could tell this place was massive. The trees were absurdly tall, stretching high into the sky like ancient towers. Their branches spread wide, creating thick canopies of leaves that cast dappled shadows over the ground.
Harper walked further in, following a winding path that led toward the center of the park. Eventually, we arrived at a massive platform—a specially designed Lilliputian area built right in the middle of the park.
Harper stopped and smiled. "I welcome you to the Lilli park."
I leaned closer to the glass, my eyes widening.
Instead of looking like a traditional park, it resembled an entire forest. From my perspective, the trees looked enormous, but they were actually Lilli-sized—normal to me, but absolutely tiny compared to Harper. The ground was covered in soft grass, and large stones dotted the landscape like miniature mountains. There were Lilliputians scattered throughout the area, walking along pathways, enjoying picnics, and simply existing in a space that was actually made for them.
It was incredible.
"Oh wow..." I breathed.
Harper chuckled. "Told you you'd like it."
I couldn't take my eyes off the scene below. It was surreal seeing a place so small yet thriving in the middle of Brobdingnag. It felt like a sanctuary—a little piece of home in a world that was otherwise way too big.
For the first time since arriving, I felt a sense of peace.
Maybe this trip wouldn't be so bad after all.
