Progress update v0.3

This week marked the end of the work on the Christmas special episode, and I can now fully focus on v0.3.

I had originally planned to finish it on monday, but I ended up finishing it wednesday.
Here are the official numbers (may change a little after the script's been reworked).

677 Static renders
37 animations
around 1000 lines of dialogue between characters

I'm pretty happy when I think that I created all of this in a little over two weeks.
I think I really improved with my animations, and I can't wait for you to play it.

In a few days, I'll start proofreading the script with the help of people supporting the project, and since the release of this episode is scheduled for December the 20th, these same people will receive a free version of the game on the 15th.
That way, they'll test it before everyone else and tell me if anything needs to be reworked.

Now, let's talk about v0.3.


Since today, I have been working on the script of v0.3.
Like I said before, I already have planned every scenarios for this update, but didn't do the writing part.
When working on 0.2, I made the mistake of writing all the script first, and then create all the renders and animation at once.

But we as humans tend to get bored when doing too much of one thing.
My goal for this update is to write a scene, and then create the renders and animations which will be part of that scene.
Then, I will proceed to move on to the photoshopping part, and finally work on the sound effects and music related to that scene.
All in all, I estimated that 3 days should be enough to write, create and select the sound effects and music of one scene.

What's uncertain though is the rendering time.
Depending on how many animations I use per scene, I sometimes can create up to 500 static renders for one scene.
That means around 5 days to render them.

So eventually, I'll face some days where I'll be left with nothing to do but wait on the renders to be created.

Since I didn't take days off when working on v0.2, maybe those days will be used as week-end, but honestly I wouldn't bet on that considering that I don't like not working on the game when work still needs to be done.

Anyway, we'll see what I come up with.
I'll be away from home this week-end, which is why the update comes out today.
