did you not watch the last episodes in the series? she was absolutely written to be pitied. she is 14 years old acting the way she does, that in ITSELF is an absolutely gut wrenching fact

She wasn't written to be pitied. She's basically a calculated teenage mean girl with an army behind her. Azula understands who she is and why and embraces it, that's what makes her a great villain.

I think its implied at one point that Zuko and Azula had a fairly normal sibling relationship, Ozai destroyed it when their firebending started. During the series I don't think Azula cared for Zuko but, i dont think that Zuko wanted her dead BUT Azula shows many signs of sociopathy and probably wouldn't feel sad if Zuko died.

I don’t think we are supposed to remember that but yea if you do a massive binge it stays fresh in the mind.

If not, I would suggest watching 3 episodes this week, then 2 the next. That way you can watch the finale all at one time. Just my opinion tho 💧🌏🔥💨

Tho I do think the show could have done a better job showing her more human side, you see a bit of it in the beach episode when she tells zuko to leave the house and she said “this place is depressing” showing that she noticed zuko was feeling sad and was maybe feeling some empathy for him. After that tho you don’t see much of her human side until the final episode

Repeatedly. ;-) But in all seriousness: fair enough. We differ in our views, and I’m not trying to convince you that mine are better. It’s your show, and I respect that fact. I do feel that wishing vicious deaths on such a damaged adolescent (even a fictional one) so enthusiastically isn’t a great look for you, but that’s your call to make, and I get that visceral reactions are a big part of the appeal of your videos. I also agree that anger towards Azula is entirely valid. She’s done hideous things, and no amount of context excuses her actions. She’s a monster, and even worse, she knows it. She needs to be stopped. I’m just glad that you also acknowledged that she’s what Zuko could (and most likely would) have been without Iroh, and that she’s a product of her father’s destructive influence. That nuanced perspective is exactly what I’d hoped to see develop once more about her and Ozai was revealed. So, yay. I will say this: it’s possible to hate Azula and to pity her as well. The hatred is a reaction, but the pity, the taking into account her circumstances, is a choice. You’ve decided that your hatred for her outweighs your caring about those circumstances. That's fair. My hope – not my pressuring, not my insistence, not my demand, just my hope – is that you ultimately change that decision when the show has ended and all the characters’ fates have been revealed. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. In any case, I’m glad to see y’all both in good health, and thank you as always for your work. I remain glad to support you here and look forward to watching more. :-)

But I'm able to get notifications for comment replies. Anyways, looking forward to diving back into the world of "Avatar". 😊
