Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 17 Early Access - Girl on Girl

Comments

Maki can defend herself if the clan ever decided to do something about her. You see, with Yuji, what these conservative sorcerors are willing to do to anyone who threatens their orthodoxy and isn't Satoru Gojo. Maki left and they could use Mai against her. If Mai left too, I doubt she knows for a fact they'd come after her, but I also doubt she thinks they wouldn't.

While her anger is understandable it is also completely misdirected and she is being a bitch to everyone in general, those mistreating her are her family not Maki or her fellow students. Yes hurt people hurt people but as has been reiterated over those two episodes, having suffered/suffering is no excuse for hurting others. Also what is stopping her from just leaving the clan and living how she wants to just like Maki did?

What I like about the story of these sisters is that Mai would prefer Maki&Her just stay and live normal life outside the pressure of performing as sorcerers. But Maki can't stand being looked down upon because she A: essentially has a disability (in their eyes [some would claim her physical boost exchange is more of an ability]) and B: she's a woman, which has no place in the hierarchy. Which is understandable. Maki couldn't live like that. But Mai would, as she wouldn't want to fight to begin with. What makes one happy makes the other unhappy. Whatever choice they made it would bring the other down as they wanted for their own happiness.

About the braid in front of Mei Mei’s face, I guess it is to serve as a veil for one of her eyes, to make it easier for her to focus the eye on sharing eyesight with her crows.

I think you're missing a bit here. Mai doesn't care that Maki is more powerful than her. The clan does, but Mai *hates* being a sorceror in the first place. Maki deciding to aim high made the clan force Mai to do the same. She would rather be a servant like she and Maki were *supposed* to be due to their lack of powerful sorcery. It's not fair for either of them, because for either one to be happy the other one has to suffer a life they can't stomach. And, honestly, I see why Mai is so angry. At least if they did what she wanted instead of what Maki wanted, neither of them would have to constantly put their lives at risk. (Don't get me wrong, though. Maki is my favorite character.)
