Don't forget that Danielle said she killed her entire team and that she's never seen The Others (other than capturing Ben), only whispers. So Ben couldn't be from her team.

When Danny picks up his gun and decides to go kill Sawyer he tells the other guy: "Ben just put his life in the hands of one of them..... Shepard (Jack) wasn't even on Jacob's list." Just think I should mention that since from now on you guys will hear more about Jacob as time goes on.
