I did wonder what you'd make of the snake! Happy Whoniversary!

"This is the most exciting day of my life. My dream come true.", Whizz Kid, "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" Congratulations on your Who anniversary. "Flowerchild and, and Peacepipe, and Juniperberry, and, and Deadbeat.", Bellboy, "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" Another continuity error (in addition to Ace's timey-wimey rucksack) caused by the switch of broadcast order with "Silver Nemesis" was that Ace had Flowerchild's brooch on her jacket in "Silver Nemesis" - one story too early. "Enough? I've hardly started. I have fought the Gods of Ragnarok all through time.", The Doctor, "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" There have been persistent theories that such-and-such a story or this-or-that story-arc protagonist in New Who could be the returning Gods of Ragnarok. Maybe ... Someday. "Although I never got to see the early days, I know it's not as good as it used to be but I'm still terribly interested.", Whizzkid, "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" Whizz Kid is a parody of Doctor Who fans - and his comment that the Psychic Circus is not what it used to be - well, that's was a common refrain among fans at the time, many of whom had never seen the really old episodes. Does anyone remember the time when the then lost "The Tomb of the Cybermen" was thought to be the apex of Classic Who - mainly because no one could see it (before it was returned in 1992.) To be honest, I think the program peaked in 1965 with "The Myth Makers". Prove me wrong - locate the missing four episodes and show me! "But how did life begin? Was it with a chicken or was it with ...", The Doctor, "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" We have a credit for "Magic Consultant" on this show - and sorry about the snake! And taking about credits, this is the first appearance of Mark Ayres as Incidental Music composer. He does a few more Classic Whos but I think his biggest impact was as a custodian of the Radiophonic Workshop Classic Who audio recordings and part of the Restoration Team in getting the audio of older Classic episodes back to broadcast quality. "It's what I've always said. No consideration for those of us that live here.", Stallslady, "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy" That's a famous explosion - Sylvester was told it wouldn't be too large ... but the pyro guys used a little bit too much stuff. The very brave Sylvester just kept walking inspite of it singeing his costume - they couldn't do another take. "You're absolutely right. Clowns can be creepy.", The Doctor, "The Greatest Show in the Galaxy"

Again, we agree about this being quite the memorable story. Here the complaints of wanting more of Mags. She had a lovely go at Cook. Reiterate once again that you are not a terrible person, Jess, you’re never at the meetings. Man was insufferable. Maybe not to the levels of hate as Conrad Clark or Lindy Pepper Bean reached, but he’s up there. Rotten when he does what he did to Mags, and how he tricked Whizzkid. Concur with how you said it was very depressing when the young lad said about it being his greatest dream being in the psychic circus. I mean, I was a weird kid growing up, and I never was quite that level of weird. Love your reaction to the name “Kingpin”, and all that it brings to mind when you hear it. You say it makes you nervous, which, well, so long as everyone leaves Vanessa alone, I’d say we’re good. Ace did some good work, as she always does. Love the reveal of the gods of Ragnarök. And then it is the Doctor’s time to shine. Three doing the cancan is a wonderful mental image, I must say. Bringing us to that damn snake. You know, I don’t think I ever recall you ever saying “I hate you” to the Doctor before. It’s a new experience for me, and I don’t like it. Get it completely as to why you had the response given the snake. Just doesn’t feel right. All the same, the Doctor bring it all home with the place tumbling down with the badass exit. And your queen keeps going on about the riff raff and weirdos. Lady should stay away from retail then, as twleve years of retail proves conclusively that it never ends. Guess that’s about all I have to say. Wish I had more, but it’s been a bad month, and it was a long morning. Thanks for the delightful reaction, Jess.
