That theme is so H U G E in this story, that it's a central plot element actively mentioned by multiple characters numerous times. The term for it in the manga is called Inherited Will.

2023-09-07 23:14:39 +0000 UTC1 thing I didnt like is that in the anime and Manga Nami had already left before the Zoro fight using it as a distraction and Sanji witnessed the fight and how Luffy reacted after Zoro's loss to Mihawk that I think hugely impacted his decision to join strawhats crew (and the start of Sanji and Zoro's relationship which gets interesting over time in the anime). But I liked how they stayed true to the manga regarding Zeff's leg story. There are other few changes that I didnt like as a anime/manga fan but I get it since its a live action and they cant have the same events like in the anime/manga.

As for your comments on how this story has a lot of "passing on the dream" type stuff. One of the biggest themes of the story is "inherited will". That's how it's often put at least :) There was fresh water on the little island because of rain making puddles etc, but I will say that part in the anime Sanji was like skin and bone. A bit hard to do that in Live Action with a kid π Love the reactions!
