2023-04-28 22:54:25 +0000 UTCWhen I was 8 or so in the early 1990s, i met some distant cousin or something of my mom’s in rural Northern California. They had a developmentally disabled son who was in his late teens/early twenties. He showed me and my brother an underground comic he had: Beavis & Butthead Kill Barney. When his mom saw it, she literally started screaming about devil worship and made him throw it in the trash. I’m 100% confident that 10 years earlier she would gave been HORRIFIED by Quiet Riot and sure that they were satanists.
