In this journal entry, I’d like to talk about my art storage.
Last month, I had to migrate everything to a completely new host, with a brand-new system for uploading and sharing my art. My friend is kindly hosting it and writing the code using the Patreon API—I'm not very skilled at web programming myself.

Alas, it’s not perfect. This isn’t a commercial project; it’s something my friend works on in their spare time. We haven’t been able to test it with a large audience. Plus, the Patreon API documentation is vague and confusing in places.

Naturally, some of you may have noticed that a few links weren’t working. Please-please don’t be mad at me or my friend—we’re doing our best to make everything work! If something doesn’t open, just send me a note, and we’ll try to fix it. We’ve even made a debug link that outputs some helpful data.

Recently, there were issues on Patreon’s end, where their system would return a “not logged in” response to our code. We also encountered unexpected responses for pledges made in currencies other than US dollars. Hopefully, we’ve patched those issues—for now, with a bit of a band-aid solution—but we’re confident we’ll get everything running smoothly. Just let me know if something stops working again!

I’m really sorry for all the inconvenience. We were forced to push the migration because Patreon stopped supporting the old version of their API, and my previous host stopped working.

Aside from that, I’ve also spent a lot of time wrestling with my ol’ PC. Its onboard LAN port stopped working, so I had to figure out a workaround. Happens to all of us eventually—gadgets and computers love to act up, don’t they?
