Subject Agency Assignment Week 2

While it is true that it is important to develop agency as a subject for self-protection, subject agency is also useful in enhancing your hypnotic experience. Your assignment for Week 2 is to answer the following questions:
1. What do you think it means to use your skills as a subject to enhance your hypnotic experience?
2. What is the difference between hypnosis that is done TO you and hypnosis that is done WITH you?
3. Give an example of how you might be an active part of the hypnotic experience between you and your hypnotist.
4. Bonus: Choose one of my files from the "Accept, Reject, Adjust" Collection to listen to with the intention of enhancing your experience somehow, and report back if you are comfortable doing so.

being able to keep myself safe under hypnosis accept and reject suggestions u find acceptable or not. Hypnosis that is done to you is more direct and more effective whereas hypnosis that is done wtih you your more in the background and more in the observer state than directly involved. I guess an active way u can be apart of the hypnotic exp between the hypnotist is being engaged with their suggestions and maybe come up with a red light green light system for which suggestions are ok.

2024-09-16 19:42:41 +0000 UTC1) In addition to keeping myself safe as a subject, there are times where my mind does not know how it should interpret hypnotic suggestions, or where my unconscious mind knows that the way it will interpret a suggestion will not achieve the result desired by Lee. In those cases, my unconscious mind is able to vocalize potential issues and even do some explanation of how a suggestion is likely to manifest so that suggestions can be reworked to better see Lee's will come to fruition. 2) I believe that hypnosis that is done to someone is where the act of going into trance or the content of the hypnotic suggestions is engaged in without negotiation shortly before the induction is given. 3) Hypnosis can be used to make a subject more creative. It can be especially fun when the unconscious mind is made to come up with ideas that work against the conscious self in resistance/predicament play. It can also be fun to see what the unconscious mind comes up with when various parts of the self are inhibited or emphasized. Alternatively - in a more proactive way - sometimes it may be possible for subject to begin negotiation for future hypnotic endeavors, which might affect how suggestions are worded.
