October Poll
Added 2018-06-19 04:15:00 +0000 UTCGosh, it's been an exciting month! We've announced that we're doing a Kickstarter to print Dark Matter, and so far, the response has been overwhelming! That's gonna kick off on July 17th, so be ready!
However, while that's going on, Patreon continues as normal. At the end of this month (July 1st), we'll be releasing a new class, the Investigator, which you're going to love if you've ever read/seen Hellboy, Supernatural, or Constantine. Next month (August 1st), is the Siegeball Sourcebook (which I'm super excited for and I know a lot of you are too!) Last on the schedule (September 1st) is the Complete Gunslinger, which won perhaps the closest poll we've ever had!
This poll is to select the book which comes after that. It's going to be a short-book-month, since I imagine the Complete Gunslinger (along with the ongoing Kickstarter stuff) will have us needing a slower month.

So as much as I'd like the Arcane Archive (I suspect this is going to be a Siegeball style issue) I am definitely on board with seeing an updated alchemist. I love the concept for the class, but it feels sort of clunky in execution.

2018-06-22 21:51:05 +0000 UTCIn regards to the bombs hitting allies, pathfinder's alchemist has "precise bombs" as a discovery. Personally, I would like to see the ability to prepare special bombs ahead of time, allowing to save your bonus action for other stuff. Either that, or a more "healer-ish" option for low leveled apothacaries.
2018-06-19 18:24:39 +0000 UTCYeah, as far as sheer usefulness goes, that one is probably the best on this list.

2018-06-19 18:18:39 +0000 UTCWould love all the spells in one place, gets annoying to hunt them down all the time! Especially if they repeat a lot in the books.

2018-06-19 08:45:29 +0000 UTCAny chance we’ll ever get a Witch revisit? In the spirit of October and all...

2018-06-19 05:02:51 +0000 UTCHaving played a 'mad bomber' alchemist from levels 1 to 6, I found that the class's combat mechanics quickly became rather repetitive and, when not facing hordes that were particularly susceptible to the blast radius of the bombs, not all that effective compared to the rest of the party. With two melee fighters in the party, the blast radius was often more of a hindrance than a help, and I found myself wishing over and over that I had some kind of viable way to do damage to a single target without blowing up my friends too. Maybe there's some mechanics that I overlooked, but it really would've been nice to have some base mechanic in the class that, while maybe not top-notch in damage dealing ability, would at least allow the Alchemist to remain useful when the drawbacks of the regular bombs become too great.

2018-06-19 04:46:53 +0000 UTCYeah, there's a few major things we'd like to clean up about it: damage curves that are more consistent with other classes, cleaner and more concise bomb mechanics, some cleaned up discoveries, etc. We're just /better/ at making classes nowadays, so it's easy to see places we could improve on our earlier works.

2018-06-19 04:41:30 +0000 UTCThe Alchemist is already an all-star in my games -- two NPC helpers have become player-favourites using that class. Even more improvements and polish? Sign me up in a heartbeat.
