~I'm Getting Surgery, But There's No Need to Panic~
Added 2021-12-14 18:50:15 +0000 UTCHello everyone! I'm making an announcement here just so that everyone knows and I can perhaps get some feedback.
I'm going to be getting surgery this coming January on the 18th, 2022 (COVID willing) and will be out of commission for at least two weeks afterwards to heal. I want to assure everyone first and foremost that I am completely fine, I'm not dying. I thank you in advance for respecting my privacy about the surgery in general, just know that everything is fine with me.
The timing of the surgery however, is weird. It's going to be in the middle of the month of January. Now normally, I would try to get all of my work done in advance so Patrons don't miss out on content. However, exactly two weeks from the surgery date is February 1st, and I got the confirmation date of the surgery about....two days ago.
I don't have the time to prepare content for a whole month while also finishing up this month.
Therefore, my thought process is to pause my Patreon for the entire month of January and start fresh February 1st. This will not only give me some vacation time, but—as I said before—the opportunity to rest and heal and be fresh and ready to work at the start of February.
Now, another thing that others have told me is that I shouldn't pause my Patreon completely, because there may be people who are willing to support me still even without getting content, almost like a tip jar. I am partially open to the idea, however, I don't want people signing up for Patreon in January, thinking that they're going to get content, only to find out that I'm not making any that month, and they feel like they're getting ripped off. I also am always wary about people paying me and not getting something in return.
So a thought I had, is to still pause my Patreon, but have my Ko-fi open for people who still want to tip/support me while I'm recover from surgery.
I know this is kind of short notice—it is for me as well—but I can't quite think of another way to get this figured out. I wanted to sort of put it forward to those who are supporting me on Patreon and see what they think. So if you have any opinions/ideas on the matter I'd love to hear them.

People are human and humans need things sometimes that interrupt normal activities and we as consumers and fans should be understanding that YOU, as our god of content creations with VA, need rest, recovery, getaways and etc sometimes. Again its your choice in the end love but I'm more than content with continuing to support you through your surgery and anything else, now and in the future. You're the only creator I've found with Connor and Bucky VA content that is just.*chef kiss* unbelievably wonderful. The 2 comfort characters I've been in love w since their beginnings.

I'm new here so I had no idea you were goin through something, rest well, King <3 you deserve a break and good recovery , I wouldn't mind to keep supporting you while you're out, I stumbled on your work when I needed it most, Julian's audios brought me the comfort I ever so needed, and as an artist I'm more than happy to support other artists.
