~February 2021 AMA~
Added 2021-02-24 18:01:01 +0000 UTCThanks everyone for your questions! I just.....keep getting more and more rambly as time goes on lol
Ok, so unfortunately as I said in a previous post, the audio gets a little messed up right towards the end, and I had to cut it out so I'm going to try to explain where I was going with things and where it picks back up so it makes sense. The fade out starts at about 1:11:30, and I'm talking about simple victories can build up and build up and help climb out of a negative hole that you might be feeling. The brain is a simple yet complex machine with limitless space for learning, you literally cannot run out of space in your brain to learn new things, but at the same time, if you're constantly telling your brain negative things, it's going to believe it. It's like if you only use self deprecating humor, it can actually affect you negatively, because it's all your brain hears, and your brain goes, "Well, it's all I hear, so it must be true," kind of thing, so Cognitive Distortion can help turn those negative thoughts and habits into perhaps not exactly positive ones, but in the very least neutral ones, so they don't hurt you emotionally, physically, etc. Then I go into reading one of my favorite speeches from Lord of the Rings, when Sam talks about "even the darkness must pass" because I find that passage helps maintain my positivity in the face of a slew of a lot of bad things happening at once. I find it uplifts me greatly.
Sorry again for the confusion!

I haven't been keeping up w/your AMAs but after listening to the first 10 minutes, I'm drawn back in and will probably listen to all of them in the next few weeks lol. Thank you for always taking the time to answer these questions, it's not only a delight to listen to your voice, it's such a joy to hear your perspective and life experiences, as many of them resonate with me. ❤️✨✨✨ Also, you talking about Momotaro made me so so happy, especially as a half-Japanese (half-Okinawan) person. Ngl, I would love to hear you read translations of international folk tales like this ^u^
