You are one of a few creators who do this and i love it, thank you!

I would have voted yes. I believe that if I don't like the careers or skills set I can always reset them. I like having a backstory to my Sims because that way they go into my game having a life set and I can expand on that if I wish.

I like it both ways, no pun intended at all! I loved Mr. Harlan and his background career and skills, especially as an NPC to plop in game. But I also tweak sims sometimes too. There's so many mods that make it so easy to add skills and careers in CAS now too so no worries!

Michelle Golden

I voted no, but you know that I only use other people’s sims for genetic fodder. You should do whatever you want to do, but it is nice for people who don’t want to do all the legwork on their own.

Thank you for your feedback Justin! I appreciate it ❤️

Sean

I prefer them to have skills and careers already. Allows me to jump right into their story instead if starting them from the ground up.

Justin

Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate it and happy you’re enjoying the sims. Cheers ❤️

Sean

Thank you for your feedback Scott! I’ve been also considering releasing two versions of the sim (skilled and unskilled). Maybe this would a good way to ensure everyone gets what they prefer. Cheers ❤️

Sean

Thank you Jessica! That’s a great suggestion and I think it would be a great way for everyone to be satisfied. Cheers ❤️

Doesn't really matter. I change any sim's personality to suit their use in my games. You're doing a great job creating them though.

Love having Sims with skills & careers - it helps to expand on their stories. However, I do know some people prefer them to be blank slates...so perhaps offer them both ways? Say Jackson (v1) would have no skills/career, while Jackson (v2) would have them.

Jessica

You can always change it in CAS!

This is one of those 'it depends' situations. If it's for an obvious NPC, like Mr Harlan, yes. But if it is for a Sim I'm likely to play, no skills please. Still it is easy enough to zero out the skills with MCC, so you do you.
