Tavern Tales: The Bard's Return (10 Songs)

Greetings, everyone!

Filip here!

I am very happy that I can finally say these words: I’m back!

It’s been a challenging couple of months, and as you may have noticed, there was a lack of songs—or maybe around 50 of them. That’s on me. I was preoccupied with some personal issues and family matters, but we won’t be discussing that topic now. I am creating a personal, specific video to explain why there was such a delay in audio content on my end over the past couple of months. I’ll post that video here on Patreon when it’s done.

The songs you are about to hear are something that has never been done by me before. The team is expanding and so Is our musical universe within patreon. I started assembling many talented musicians who are willing to perform and record their instruments with passion, freedom to experiment, and a desire to show off their beautiful talents and love for the ttrpg's.

The first performer you are about to hear is Aleksandar Filipovic, my very good personal friend, a fellow bard, an amazing chef, and a brilliant musician! He plays many different instruments like the Irish Bouzouki, Lute, Mandolin, different kinds of flutes, and percussions. I could go on, but this list really goes on forever, haha. There will be time to hear them all performed by Alex. The music in this compilation is performed on the Bouzouki. The two of us spent a couple of weeks in the studio writing and recording these songs, trying to make them as authentic as possible. The idea was to have one bard performing ballads in the corner of a tavern—one instrument to rule them all. The song styles are from different periods of time: we have Renaissance ballads, medieval themes, Celtic jigs, and specific Irish tunes to smash goblins in taverns. All the songs, combined with Michael’s ambiences, create a breathtaking immersive atmosphere. And this is only the beginning.

Tavern Tales is a 35 minute album illustrating one bards journey through different periods of their life.

My dear friends. Life can really be unpredictable, I was not expecting a setback of this kind but, our regular schedule for uploading songs is back. Despite the delay in content, you chose to stay and support our journey, and I don’t have the words to describe how honored and thankful I am to be a part of this community. You are everything a creator could wish for. Your understanding gives me inspiration, hope and proof that kindness still has power over the corrupted roots within our existence! Damn… I got a bit overexcited there, hehe.

Thank you! Enjoy! I will post another compilation in a couple of days and we will get back on track with all the missing songs soon!

Love you all!

Yes, we have Oud as well! It's on the list and will be used in our songs eventually. Thanks for your kind words, Rob! It was a rough period indeed, but now it's finally looking better and I'm happy to be back where I belong! :) - Filip

Brilliant! Love love love the raw, live performance, "bard in the corner" style, and I hope you'll do more like these. Just a pitch for a special instrument I think sounds so beautiful...I'm talking about the oud. Perhaps this bard-of-many-instruments knows how to play it? Anyway, great job on these, and I can't wait to use them in my games. Oh and Filip, I'm sorry you had to go through such a rough patch in your life. I hope that perhaps there was something you were able to take away from it that will allow you to move forward in a positive way. Best wishes to you, and your family and friends. Cheers! :)
