I am so, so very excited, oh my gosh oh my gosh- okay, let me say that I am so incredibly happy beyond words and measure to be able to be part of this journey, to be so close to you and your work as you make the pages, to be part of your Patreon is an honor to me!! Ooh, and that episode cover looks AMAZING! And it looks like the Desert Scorpions really are MAD at our boys, haha! I forgot we get covers for each part or episode of the books, No North really is chock-full of amazing surprises!! And oh boy, looks like Steban and Martin are on the run again, why am I not surprised 😂 at this rate, they must be the most exercised dogs in Verdera! Steban’s also got the compass hanging around his neck in this- not a good look for him, good thing he also hid it when the New Enders came to take it from him! Also, can I say that the last page was an awesome page to end on? Book 1 started with Martin writing, and it ends with Martin writing! Shut Eye is almost entirely Steban on the run, and this episode cover is Steban on the run 😂 It would’ve been cool if last page had ended with a close-up shot of Martin’s surprised eyes or face at what he saw, haha! Ooh, and the sunset is just gorgeous, too! The light is faded so well onto Steban’s shoulders, just perfecting the dimension and color- and the detail of the tip of Martin’s tail, too- every single of your little details in your art never ceases to amaze me! Again, I cannot possibly express in words the amount of admiration, gratitude and wonder that I have every time I’m reminded I get to be on this No North journey with you! Every time I see a page, I am wonderfully astonished by its sheer beauty with background and little hidden details, the perfected character expressions, the charm and depth of the characters, and the genius of the story! Let’s not forget the gorgeous, incredible art that you can somehow make for us an entire beautifully crafted page every single Friday, and sometimes Monday!! Genuinely, Skai, I have seen hundreds of artists and animators in my lifetime, and none as underrated and amazing as you! There is something about, oh I don’t know how to explain it…just being there when something, like being in the cast of a broadway show or production or band or something- just being there with them, as the pages come out, being the first to comment or reply to them, the fact that you read every one you can, being able to know all the inside jokes and know what an old character used to look like or be like, and then look at them now?! It’s difficult to explain, and I’m afraid I can’t exactly capture the feeling in words- just being able to be here is so amazing and every time I see a notification on Patreon, I immediately get so excited- seeing any new pages or artwork of yours gives me so much joy! My only regret with No North is not being here from the very start. You are my absolute favorite artist by a landslide, and when anyone asks me what my favorite book is, I say my favorite novel, and then No North. Every chance I get, I try to recommend No North to my friends, tell them about the art, the characters- Again, you and No North are so underrated! You deserve so many medals and art awards for your work, and the everyday major animation companies and art industries can just never capture what your art can! Also, have I ever mentioned that you were the one who introduced me to my favorite band? I won’t go too in-depth about it here, since this comment is already long enough 😂, but about two or three years ago, before I knew much of your art, or any of No North or your Patreon, I found your piece of artwork, Ghost On The Shore, on deviantart. It was drawn in 2014, I think? In the description of the art, there was a link to a song called Ghost On The Shore. Because I wanted to see what was the inspiration behind such amazing art, I played it in the car one night. It was the most beautiful song I’d ever heard. So, I went back to your art and saw another one of your pieces, the one with Steban and Delilah staring at eachother from under the waterfall. Under the art, there was a link to a song called In The Wind, and I couldn’t help but notice it was by the same band as Ghost On The Shore. Soon, I began to listen to Lord Huron’s other albums, first Lonesome Dreams, then Strange Trails, and soon I was listening to nothing but Lord Huron. Their songs and music spoke to me in a way that nothing else had, and brought me so much joy and wonder, it almost made me feel what it was like to be ‘Way Out There’, a place, a wilderness I’ve always wished for. About two years later, and I’ve listened to every one of their songs I don’t know how many times- I’ve gone to Red Rocks, Colorado, which is an outdoor concert in the middle of a red-rock canyon so the acoustics were AMAZING, and during the concert I literally shivered with joy (or maybe it was the freezing rain pelting down in the first half of the show, I don’t know 😂 I think it was both!), I got a signed song list from the cast, and my life has been changed because of that wonderful band and the wonderful stories they’ve told through music. Lord Huron was probably one of the best things I’ve ever found in my life, I even introduced it to my family and they love it! And it’s all thanks to you. You’re so kind and thoughtful, your endless gratitude for us, thanking us on the description of every page and piece of artwork?! I want to thank YOU, so, so much, for being so kind and generous to us, for giving us amazing pages every week, and for letting US be on your journey. I am so excited for No North Book 2, and I can’t wait to see the adventures that await Steban and Martin, I can’t wait to see what happens with the story and Delilah and Edgar, and the Devil, and the unknown, and I especially can’t wait to see what awaits us in the No North journey, and our own journeys! I still can’t believe that the first page of No North came in Spring 2021, the old poster saying ‘The Greatest Adventure Is Yet To Come…’ and at the bottom saying ‘NO NORTH: Spring 2021’ brings back so much nostalgia and amazement- I mean, look at where you once were, and look at where you are now- take a step back and look at how incredibly far you’ve come! I cant imagine how proud of your work and progress you must feel right now! Remember the early 2012 concept art when Baltazar’s name was Alston and he was a purebred husky, or when Steban was a feisty German Shepherd cowdog? Well, he still is a feisty cowdog, that’s for sure! 😂 Seriously, worlds of congratulations for you- like you said, No North book 1 has been three years in the making!! I cant even begin to imagine what an achievement this is! Like you said, everyone is on their own journey, and everyone is a little lost in their own way. But your art and No North just makes every day better, and makes us feel a little less lost and a little more happy! No North is like a world I can escape to when things get tough, it contains so many things I love, and so many amazing characters, and storyline and art that is just so good I sometimes wonder how a person could make something this wonderful! I am genuinely so, so happy to be here, and it is something I won’t ever forget. I absolutely cannot wait for Book 2 and what it has in store for us and the world of No North!!

You are such a talented writer Skailla, you are excellent at making the reader feel the emotions of the characters, whether it be suspense, fear, sadness, or joy. It’s a rare gift! I also admire your knack for being able to subtly reveal things to come without giving it away! Really leaves theorists guessing! Either way, I am SO proud of you and the team for making this stellar book. I wish you the best luck on continuing this journey, and I’ll support you any way I can!! :D
