Here's little Steban and his mother, Christine, during a happy time of their lives.
She was always present in their family home, but at the same time, she was very... Ghostly. She faced her own hardships and preferred to be alone in her bedroom most of the time, hiding her troubles from her pups, so they wouldn't have to worry about her.
She succeeded in giving them a happy puppyhood, but to Steban, she was always a closed door. He would sometimes just stand by her bedroom door for hours, hoping to see her for a moment or two.
Moments like this were rare, but so precious to him and his brothers. She was (and still is) a very loving mother, giving them all she could offer, even when sadness stroke her too strongly.

Cuteness overload of baby Steban and a sad back story, right in the feels haha. Is there a sneaky little spoiler I see in here or am I just reading it wrong?
