Sounds ominous - hope it will not affect your everyday life too much. I had my leg bone split open vertically at the start of the year and it still hasn't recovered fully - i.e. I can't run with it for more than a hundred yards before I have to stop, and I've got a whole slew of leg related issues on both legs now because of the downtime I had to keep putting weight on it. At least the local doctors got something to talk about. Mine said breaks like mine were extremely rare and wished to share my case with his colleagues due to this. I wish you speedy recovery.
