Hello everyone! We have some updates for you, some good, some frustrating but turned good.
The frustrating is that the cards for our January packages (along with the 2020 welcome kits) are with a factory in China waiting to reopen due to the terrible coronavirus issues going on over there. We got the order in just before the Chinese New Year and they didn’t get to print it before the break (my fault, I did cut it VERY close). But then, everything happened with the virus and the factories stayed closed for another week. Then they remained closed for an additional week. They are supposed to resume work today, but I’m not 100% sure that it’ll happen again this time.
It's frustrating to not have everything here for our monthly deadlines, but in comparison, I can’t imagine what they are going through there.
Because of the delays, we’re implementing Plan B. We should have had this in place all along but there were a few things that made it difficult. Let’s talk about the plan and then the difficulties.
Plan B: We are shifting the January and February packages back to March and April and releasing different packages for January and February.
In these different packages, you will find some new tiny games, postcard games, and other goodies. As part of this, we are bringing back the Cult Film postcard games for 2 months. Some of the oldies will remember it as we made games based on classics such as Pulp Fiction, Edward Scissorhands, Donnie Darko and many more. The first will be Jason Greeno’s Lost In The Shadows, inspired by The Lost Boys. We’re still arranging some of the content (as it’s tricky using US printers), but I can definitely say that it’s been a real fun opportunity to step outside of our box a little and get creative. We also have Nite Life Solitaire (you'll see a theme emerge in the new January package), a small dice game called Earthshine and X is Y, a party game that we've been holding out on for a long time. Plus some more. Here are some sneak peeks.

If all goes well, we should have everything here and start shipping January and February out in about 2 weeks. By then we should have some more details about the printers in China and know what to expect for the previously planned January and February packages. The one holdout will be the Featured Wallet Games in the $20 level. January is Hierarchy and is here. February is Royale and it's stuck at the factory. We'll end up offering two options for Royale - choose an in stock game instead or receive Royale separately when it comes in. Eventually you'll get everything, we're just dealing with a little mess right now.
Our internal production is moving very nicely. All but about 40 Nov/Dec packages are out, and the final batch goes out in today's mail. Hierarchy has a handful of packages left. Then we start the reprint campaign. The production is in full effect. We've already separated the 200,000+ cards, and now we're building the games. It's been intense, but the team is on it.

After a few months off of Kickstarter we are back on our hopefully monthly schedule. This month we have Universal Rule: Singularity and Solo AI and next month we have Skulls of Sedlec. We have some info and goodies below.
Universal Rule: Singularity and Solo AI launches tomorrow. Expect a post here with your discount details, but in the meantime, we added a Kickstarter Pre-Launch page. We've never done one before, so we wanted to see what it's all about. It's essentially a reminder, which you'll also get here, but if you're interested, here's the link below. Universal Rule is our 3-5 player 4X space game, but now with a solo expansion (free to all backers). It'll be featured here in a few months for all of our $20 supporters, who will also receive the solo expansion.

Skulls of Sedlec is coming in late March, so the review copies just started going out. That means you get them too! The game is currently in the Dropbox with a preview of the solo version as well. This game was a finalist and front runner in our recent "make a game about a real life location" contest and I think you will really enjoy it.

And the art for many more new games is starting to roll in. Food Chain Island is the first in our series of solo Scott Almes games. The artwork by Annie Wilkinson is just awesome. There's so much more too. It's all coming together very nicely. :)

And finally, a few "in case you didn't know" items.
Thanks everyone! Will touch base tomorrow again!
