I definitely remember a time when I wanted anime to be more “normal” so that I wouldn’t feel judged for loving it. The way I saw it, most normies looked at all anime as childish, incomprehensible, or softcore fetish porn. Sometimes all 3.😂 Unfortunately, I think too many people get stuck in that mindset and begin to consider these aspects as fundamental problems in the medium. If it’s something they (or more likely, the normies they want validation from) find weird or uncomfortable, then they need to loudly condemn anyone who likes it. Only then will the normies recognize them as one of the good ones.🙄 I just hope one day they’ll be able to get past this stage of weeb puberty. The homophobes have proven that they tolerate cute, sexless queer media more than the fun kind, but we don’t need to placate them. I want the next “problematic” anime to be about an all trans omnisexual interracial polycule of voyeuristic masochists experimenting with toys and illegal aphrodisiacs.🏳️🌈 Starring Yuma Uchida.🤣
