The Expanse S3E12+13 Congregation - Abaddon's Gate

(Little bit behind because of Thanksgiving) So, yes, end of Book 3 and from now on each Season is 1 book.. Drummer's spinal injury was originally the Security Chief's injury from the book who was partially absorbed by Naomi when she was also absorbing the chief engineer, and now the security chief is absorbed the rest of the way by Drummer.. Ashford was a pretty cut and paste type of villain in Book 3 and I love the way they nuance him and expand on his character in the show, and you can actually understand and side with him most of the time with his plans..There was a few extra times of the Behemoth was boarded, overtaken, and switched sides between Drummer's side and Ashford's side with a few extra mutinies..And with the crunch of trying to finish the season as the show had been canceled by Syfy, it actually works very well in this streamlined fashion and makes it more fast-paced and exciting.. One of the best reveals of the show is all the other ring gates opening and finally you understand why the series is called The Expanse..It's not just about the fact that Space itself is an expanse, but that we now have an expansive 1,300 new solar systems to explore.. On to Book 4..

This is one of those rare cases where we legitimately can say thank you to a billionaire, but also thanks to the devoted fans and their campaign to save the show. People were saying something like this was never done on this scale and I think it's worth mentionning it ! It took a few months to be officially renewed by Amazon too, there was even talk about Netflix buying the show because that's what happened with another show (Lucifer) at the exact same period of time... but The Expanse was in fact cancelled for a few long months yes. Being a fan was exhausting at the time, but really rewarding in the end 😁

Yes. It's weird seeing another Amos as a first name. Lol.

Same. It leaves breadcrumbs but it subverts enough of the sci-fi tropes that it keeps us on our toes. It must be nice to watch a show where your name is 'that guy'.

This conclusion is probably one of the GREATEST to me personally for no other reason other than the pure wanderlust it inspires 1373 habitable systems to explore the possibilities are nearly endless.

I like how the brig on the Behemoth was originally the Nauvoo's livestock paddock - "Belter ingenuity at its finest." And Clarissa's last-second maneuver at the end was a callback to Ren's mentoring her on the Seung Un - installing the part incorrectly would trigger a surge in the power grid (or something). BTW, if Trin likes bearded men (and we all know she does), may I suggest adding Shogun to your list of shows to watch...not only did it win in nearly every category it was eligible for at this years Emmys, but there are many bearded, good-looking men in it...;)

…and now we have to pause and give a tip of the hat to one Mr. Jeff Bezos. 😎 SyFy channel cancelled this show. It was to end at the episode you just watched. After a very loyal fan base started a massive campaign to save the show; #SaveTheExpanse. Jeff Bezos, who already had secured streaming rights, bought the exclusive distribution rights for Amazon and saved the show.πŸͺπŸ›° πŸ₯³ w00t!

Beware The Jabberwock

This was a show where I never knew where the heck it was going...
