I know so many disliked Beth but I honestly believe that her character had grown so much and could have had an even more incredible character development. I was absolutely furious with her death. To this day so far there are at least 2 deaths I just felt like were incredibly pointless. That I will never fully understand. Beth (Emily) had just bought a house in gerogia where they all filmed the show. She absolutely did not want to leave the show. She was so so sad when she left, and her fans were too. I know there has to be some character deaths but they could have at least given her a better ending than what they did. That's just my unpopular opinion but I loved Beth and her and Daryls friendship was so heartwarming. She really brought him through everything he was going through after the prison. Just ugh so frustrating. Anyways wonderful reaction as always you guys I'm so happy I decided to get Patreon and see your longer reactions. Then get to see it through fresh perspectives. It's been great watching. Thanks Rob & Trin!

Beth was most unlikable character for me so I was like, omg finally.

Count Monte-Cristo

Ehh her ending might be crap to some people, but Beth had a couple of badass moments leading up to it. So if someone wants off the show, then if they're at least given those cool moments, we can't hate it.

Christopher Kelleher

Horrible writing. That’s what pissed me off with this series, but sadly I can’t go into depth because I would be spoiling. But after a few seasons, I’ll explain how sometimes the writing just doesn’t make sense at times with these sort character deaths. Overall, I was waiting for this reaction because I knew how much you guys loved Beth! “You’re gonna miss me so much when I’m gone, Daryl Dixon” 💔 R.I.P. Beth 🙏🏾

Anaya Imari

Yes, I cry every single time as well! I still remember when I first seen it.

I still cry every damn time I see Darryl carrying Beth out of that building. Ugh. Looking forward to y'all seeing the next one though. Things start to look up a bit after this... For a while anyway.

Friendly reminder that this episode is named Coda for a reason. No one is safe, especially not your favorites.

I didn't really get upset when Beth died because I believe it was a Facebook post on by AMC or The Walking Dead accout that announced her death prematurely. I wasn't a fan of the back half of season 4 when it aired (it's much better when you can binge it) because I didn't like the gang scattered so I wasn't as interested in the Beth/Daryl adventures and I was more worried about Carol than Beth. It did hurt to see Daryl cry and to see Maggie fall to the ground in despair. I know we all joked about Maggie not talking about Beth much but I chalk that up to possible deleted scenes or we're supposed to assume it happened off camera because the writing is too good for that to have been an oversight.

Took me forever to realize he was in the Boondock Saints.

Saidar

Oh my goodness guys, you had me crying again over this episode. To see Daryl's reaction and to hear Maggie's pain in her cry at the end was excruciating. I understand wanting more for Beth but sometimes things that we can't explain just happen. The end, Coda. RIP Beth.

Jalare

This one hits so hard every. damn. time.

I remember watching beths death the first time around. Made you realise none of our guys are actually safe. A whole season partly on beths storyline and for her to die like that was such a defining moment for the show. We cried for bob and andrea but beth was such a pure soul, her death was a loss. Im just glad we have Noah. She would want him to with the group.

Norman Reed's was first discovered in a bar he was upset at recently losing a job and got a little too drunk, his drunken ranting caught attention of directors in the bar who asked him to be in their play 🤣 as for walking dead, he was sent a bunch of scripts, among the scripts were “The Walking Dead, it was the only one in his pile that his team told him not to do — and the only one he liked. He originally went for the part of Merle, but Michael Rooker booked it but everyone liked so much how Norman had performed it that they set out to write a part especially for him.

@AmethystRock

Beth’s death is irritating that it wasn’t like an “epic” death, but it’s realistic that she died in such a way. And I do think they tried to make you angry with the way they killed her and the Morgan after credits was meant to make you feel better about it.
